Frustrating that i can do this in on our internally hosted Sharepoint but not the online version.

I have a list on my parent site that needs to be referenced on various subsites. It appears that this cannot be done using SharePoint online. This is really frustrating and means duplication and maintenance of two copies of the list.

Please port this functionality across to sharepoint online
