We use Lists to manage matters assigned to each member of a team.

Each Team Member's default view filters the list down to only those matters assigned to them.

There is another view that is the same in every respect apart from the absence of this filter - ie, it shows everyone's matters.

When we add a new column to the List generally, if we want it visible in one of those views we will want it visible in the other view as well.

Similarly, we want those views to be as visually similar and familiar as possible.

It would be good to have the option to set up each aspect of a view as either its own setting or "inherited from View X".

...So that a change to one view would propagate to a corresponding change in any view set to inherit the settings of those aspects.
