Published date and Page details should be visible to readers
On SharePoint modern pages, Published date and Page details option are not visible to users with read access.
These fields can be shown to readers so that they can see this information easily.

a main issue for all blog posts, also within Microsoft. Each post /site should have a publish/update date and time.
And in SharePoint Users with read access with shoulkd that have for each entry

Needed to make sure how up to date things actually are.
Published date option will be a good idea to implement.
1. As it will be helpful during migration for deciding long used/ unsed/ published pages
2. As we have seen modified date is not the actual source to determine the actual time when it was created but published should be the constant one which can help in determining the actual date when it was published
It will be a good idea to make visible published date
Agree. These fields shud be displayed to users with read permissions.
It would be great if we had the option to turn off the auto-update of the published date on pages. This is really needed, also for content migration.
Yes...good to know these details for the user. I like this improvement
