It would be great to be able to target content by Audience (using global audiences and SharePoint groups) on the modern web parts just like we were able on the classic pages. Thanks694 votesworking on it · AdminSharePoint UserVoice Admin (SharePoint UserVoice Admin, Microsoft SharePoint) responded
We’re working on this! The first web part we’re enabling it on is the News web part, followed by the highlighted content and events web parts. We’d love to hear about other audience targeting scenarios you’d like us to enable. Thanks!
It would be helpful to have sections that collapse, tabs, or anchor links for pages that contain lots of information. Word allows you to create bookmarks, and OneNote allows you to create tabs to easily navigate lots of information on a given topic. It would be great if you had the same flexibility with a page in SharePoint462 votes
We’re working on anchor links now and should have something our shortly. Our first version will allow you to deep link to any H1, H2, or H3 you’ve applied in the text web part on modern pages. Please let us know if there are other things you’d like to see.
Need a way to print modern pages, without the navigation pane etc.223 votes
We’ve already made some improvements to how modern pages layout for print in chrome. We’re also looking at additional improvements as well.
Allow page authors to design page templates right in the Page Edit UI. Page edit would allow them to remove the Title Banner, Logo, left navigation, Edit link, New Link, Share Link, Search box and save the template for reuse.
Page Templates would support web parts and new developed custom JS controls for things like custom navigation controls.206 votesworking on it · AdminSharePoint UserVoice Admin (SharePoint UserVoice Admin, Microsoft SharePoint) responded
We are working on a solution to save a modern page as a page template. This list of available templates will be shown to users when they click New > Page or New > News. It will include some out of the box templates from Microsoft and any templates saved to the site.
This does not affect the Site header, navigation, search box, command bar, or other site elements.
other CMS systems already allow this functionality. Instead of having to save an image somewhere and then upload it to SharePoint, let me just drag / drop images on the wiki and blog pages. Would be ideal for screenshots192 votes
We agree this is important and simplifies authoring. We’ll be adding this to modern pages.
I'd like to show users documents from an another site (different o365 group site). I came across the Highlighted content web part which is a very flexible and potentially useful function. However I can not filter my documents with it as it
1 does not show custom content type at the type or document type filters (even though my content type is directly inheriting Document), and does not lists my documents either (basically being Documents because of the inheritance)
2 can not select custom columns of my content type at the managed property filter.119 votes
We’re working on an option in highlighted content to enable custom queries where you can provide the KQL or CAML and specify your own query. This will enable you to search by custom content types.
Need to have comments and likes for SharePoint News57 votes
I see these pages have a "Promoted State" and "FirstPublishedDate" that are used to determine if a page should be shown as News, but these properties cannot be changed. I want to be able to take an existing site page, and publish it as News.
Alternatively, you could let me publish news to a library separate from the site pages so I'm not cluttering my wiki page library.45 votes
