  1. Office 365 Connectors web part in Communication Sites

    Office 365 Connectors within SharePoint are only available for use within group-connected SharePoint team sites, according to https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/use-the-connector-web-part-db0756aa-f78f-4b74-8b19-be5dca0420e1.

    Please add support for using Office 365 Connectors also in Communication Sites. For example, I would like to display data from outside by using an RSS Feed connector on a Communication Site page.

  2. Group by Content Type

    Allow grouping by Content Type within lists and libraries, just like we could in SharePoint 2007!

  4. Editable publish date

    Provide an editable field for publish date of pages and news articles. As we migrate content from another platform it's important to maintain existing "published" dates

  5. Permissions report - inheritance breaks

    Allow the owners of the sites to view a report of the security of their site. Start by adding a chart of the inheritance breaks of the whole site in one glance. This will become more and more important since you can use the 'Share' button on a file and break inheritance without understanding what you're doing.

  6. Customizing Column Width

    Modern lists seem to have an unmodifiable min width (even with JSON). Also, manually adjusted column widths reset upon refresh.

    It seems many are asking for customizable and SET column widths (similar to setting widths for web parts would be satisfactory or even allow JSON to alter).

    The excessive white space and scrolling right is problematic and inefficient.

    現時点で "モダン" ページのフォントをカスタマイズすることができないため、カスタマイズできるようにしてほしい。

    Currently, I recognized that the customization for fonts is not available on “Modern” pages.

    In order to improve the usability for the pages, it will be great if we could customize fonts on “Modern” pages as well.

  8. Improve Highlighted content web part to support custom content types and their custom columns

    I'd like to show users documents from an another site (different o365 group site). I came across the Highlighted content web part which is a very flexible and potentially useful function. However I can not filter my documents with it as it
    1 does not show custom content type at the type or document type filters (even though my content type is directly inheriting Document), and does not lists my documents either (basically being Documents because of the inheritance)
    2 can not select custom columns of my content type at the managed property filter.

  9. Allow modification of email digest template

    Please allow us to modify the email digest template to include the corporate logo. Preferably removing Microsoft and SharePoint from the top of the digest and moving them to the bottom next to get the app.

  10. Highlighted Content Web Part - Add AND OR for multiple filters

    Adding multiple filters defaults to OR. In other words adding multiple filters finds more items, rather than finding the intersection of the two filters. You need to be able to specify AND or OR between multiple filters in the web part.

  11. Two-Way-Sync between SharePoint and Excel

    It should be feasible to sync updates from Excel to SharePoint Online list. We can import the Excel sheet to a SharePoint Online list or export a SharePoint list to Excel file. However, the sync between them is one-way.

    Changes made in the SharePoint list can be written to Excel, but any changes that we make in Excel won't written to SharePoint list automatically.

  13. Improve SharePoint Document Metadata Entry

    Changes which were implemented by Microsoft in Office 2016 and SharePoint Online, as well as list view thresholds make entering SharePoint metadata on documents prohibitive.

    Office 2016 Desktop Applications:

    One significant change in Office 2016 was the removal of the document information panel (DIP). When the DIP displayed in Office applications (pre-2016), it was obvious even to the most casual SharePoint users that there were document properties which should be assigned values, as well as how to enter these values. By contrast, with the DIP removed in 2016:

  14. Add event registration to Communication Sites

    While I love being able to create events easily in SP Communication sites (and love that users can add them to their calendars), not having the ability to have users register for limited capacity events means we have to duplicate the information or abandon the events in SP all together.

    After migrating from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online, it appears that Calendar overlays across site collections is no longer available. Please make it available again.

  17. hide/disable the Recent Activity in the details pane

    Implement a configurable switch to hide/disable the Recent Activity in the details pane. Should be configurable at the user, library or tenant level.

    Users find it annoying when the details pane keeps refreshing as other users update a list item or document; it makes the details pane constantly refresh and appears to "flicker" causing a poor user experience.

  18. All classic web parts for Modern Team Sites

    Prior to modern pages, we had many web parts to choose from in SharePoint (Content Search, Search Box, Search Results, Content Editor Web Part, etc.). Some of the modern web parts are cool, but the Content Search, Search Box, Search Results, Content Editor Web Part are HUGELY important and widely used. The search web parts mentioned tie in nicely to Custom Display Templates and allow us to bring back content from anywhere in the farm. The Content Editor Web Part is a staple...it allows us to link to a txt or html file to surface custom content in a web…

    We’ve reduced the height of the hero web part when in full width columns, but still maintain as much of the aspect ratio as possible. On a very large monitor this can still make the hero quite tall. Authors could also drag hero our of the full width column, into a one column layout (with gutters) , which significantly reduces the height. How would you imagine it should work differently in the full width, or is moving to a one column layout the right choice for reduced height? Thanks!

    The tasks app should allow a timeline to be created and displayed in the modern experience of sharepoint online.

    Tasks needs to be created and searchable in the modern experience. Just like it use to work in the classic experience.
