  1. Define section background color in the modern pages

    Please let us define a custom background color for a Section on the page.

    It would allow us to give more "rhythm" to the page content and highlight some content on the page.

    For example the https://dev.office.com/ site uses a light blue "section background color" to separate the "getting started"-links from rest of the content.

    Today modern pages support picking one of three colors derived from the site theme (soft, neautral, strong). We likely won’t be investing in the option to add arbitrary other colors as a section background, violating the site’s theme. For the other suggestions, please open a unique uservoice suggestion (e.g. support section background images)

  2. Integrate a full breadcrumb in the Suite bar to facilitate navigation in deep collections

    In the top left (in the suite bar), integrate a breadcrumb (like in SharePoint 2010 with the hierarchical folder?) in order to facilitate the navigation in site collections.
    Users are sometime lost when they are browsing a document library and when the ribbon is displayed in the header, they have difficulties to find that they must click the "BROWSE" tab to go back to the navigation.

  3. New Event Web Part should support recurring events

    The new event web part in SPO should support recurring events for Birthdays etc. We use it to keep track of birthdays in our office, but the new web-part does not support recurring events.

  4. Enable/Disable comments on the whole site

    You added a comment area in the new experience pages, then added a on/off button. But i can not disable comments in one time, on all pages ! i need to do it, one per one. please, add a global option, in the site level, to enable or disable this feature on the current site.

  5. Modern Page Ratings

    Will the functionality to like/rate pages be added to the modern pages? This is obviously available on classic pages and would be a great addition to the modern pages especially within the Communication sites.

  6. Ability for administrators to disable office online chat

    We have shared class notebooks setup enabling classes of 30+ students free range to chat to each other. As you can imagine teachers are finding this hard to manage, especially when they're off task inside of a program where work is also taking place; making it incredibly easy for the sneaky students to hide their off topic discussions!

    Furthermore the chat logs are not saved anywhere - this really does open up a host of child protection issues where cyber bullying could take place within the school without any logs of it ever happening.

  7. Ability to hide the Hub Site navigation

    Add the ability to hide the hub site navigation via some setting or powershell.

    The hub site navigation is a list of static links with no security trimming and no way to target an audience. With the introduction of SharePoint SPFx extensions we have the ability to create a header on top of the page. The most common usecase in this scenario is to create a customized menu. However if hub sites are used and you need a customized menu you will have two menu's at the top.

  8. Organize sharepoint sites

    I'd like to be able to organize the home page of sites i'm following to put the sites I use the most at the top, and group similar sites --for instance, I have several sites that are related to Human resources work, but I only use them occasionally and would like them to put them in a folder or notebook. Instead, they are all listed separately and I have to scroll through them to get to the ones I use more frequently. If there is already a way to do this, it is NOT apparent on the way my sharepoint…

  9. Page Level Breadcrumb

    Please enable a breadcrumb for navigating pages on SharePoint. Even if its just for Modern Pages... or Communication Sites.

    Scenario:
    We have our intranet on our main site collection (consisting of 6 sub-sites exc. the root site) and one of the biggest problems I come across from end users is that they dont know where they are.  They clicked a link from the homepage or from a news article, its taken them to the page they wanted to go to... but they have no idea where that is.
     
    The problem this causes is the user cannot find a way…

  10. missing search box in modern lists

    On the classic sharepoint there is a search box that is very helpful. Please add that to the new look.

  11. Allow mailmerge using SharePoint (and/orOneDrive) based lists and document

    Allow Office 365 Word/Excel mailmerge functionality when the files are stored on SharePoint (Online or on-premises).

    The Office client people I know seem to think this is a SharePoint Online limitation, while the SharePoint people seem to think the Office client team need to sort this.

  12. MUCH, TOO MUCH White Space

    MUCH, TOO MUCH white space on a new modern page. I would REALLY like to be able to have some control over this and other formatting elements on these pages.

  14. Ability to align images on modern pages

    I'd like to align an image directly from the image webpart.
    This is really annoying that the pages are so easy to create but that you can't control the image alignment on the page.

    Aligning images is an essential.

    Today an image occupies the width of the container it’s in (e.g. 1/3 column). Assuming you could make your image smaller than the column width, what level of alignment would you want? Is left, right, center sufficient, or are you wanting vertical alignment in the negative space around the image (e.g. top, middle, bottom)? What would you expect happens to the space on different break points (e.g. iPad, mobile phone, etc.) Does it go away, or is it somehow retained? Thanks.

  17. Add Article Tagging to the Modern News Feature

    It would be great to tag News posts/articles by category (e.g., training, motivational, announcement, etc.). Users could then refine by category to see all articles under that tag.

  18. modifying _layouts/sharepoint.aspx page

    give options / settings to modify basic look and feel on https://annu28.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx. user should be able to choose which Team sites tiles should display on this page.

  19. Hub Site Content Rollup Filtering

    Add filtering to News and Events rolled up to the Hub Site e.g. allow filtering by a metadata column to selected items are shown rather than all. This would allow news to show in a connected site but only appear on the Hub based on the filter criteria.

  20. Comment Alerts

    SharePoint site news articles are great with the embedded comments section. I would ask and recommend that there be some sort of notifier/alert to the original comment poster when someone else responds to it. This would help keep conversations going forward. It's rather hard to find your original comments when there are many comment posts.
