  1. Create an API/CSOM endpoint for activating audience targeting for a list

To activate audience targeting for a modern site involves changing the list fields and finding out what changes is done when checking that simple checkbox in the ListEnableTargeting.aspx page. Please add a API and CSOM endpoint for this.

  2. Reduce miss-reading news articles

    Hi everyone,

I use SharePoint online with modern UI. I want to know how to notice if someone missed reading News articles?
If unread notices appear in "unread boxes" and disappear after reading, miss-reading may be reduced.

    Thanks & Regards

  3. Provide Option for "faster" Webhooks

We currently have the necessity to (quite) immediately do some work (adding related items in other list, setting permissions connected to Field Values) after an Item is added/updated.
Therefore we are stuck on EventReceivers, because they are the only option to to it nearly in real-time. Webhooks have a 1 minute timeperiod, that is far too long for our cases (as it connects to user interface/experience and security of course).
So i would ask for an option to configure the timespan for the webhooks or have any other way for more/less immediate notifications.

As the EventReceiver-Namespace is no longer part…

  4. Allow appOnly Apps to update UserProfiles and TaxonomyStore

    As mentioned here

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/sp-add-ins/add-in-permissions-in-sharepoint

    and here

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/solution-guidance/app-only-elevated-privileges-sharepoint-add-in

it ist stated, that using AppOnly Permissions is restricted for UserProfile and TaxonomyStore (whereas Taxonomystore is unclear).

However, as now CSOM supports .Net core, but only with AddIn-Model authentication, we have no possibility to use that to update UserProfiles or TaxonomyStore in an automated way in the backend using .Net Core.

At least if that documention is still correct.

Currently we have to use a service user and .Net Framework CSOM to do that tasks. But this on the other way prevents us to use new technologies for example in Azure, which is…

  5. Support SharePoint 2016/2019 with .NET Standard APIs

While the SharePoint online version is supported, we would like to see the SharePoint on-prem versions (SharePoint 2016/2019) supported with .NET standard CSOM APIs.

    https://sharepoint.uservoice.com/forums/329220-sharepoint-dev-platform/suggestions/16585795-support-net-core-with-csom
^ this only allows for SharePoint Online .NET Standard CSOM support.

Many customers have significant investments and longer term roadmaps to get to SharePoint Online, but in the interim would like to start developing solutions that can be more easily converted to work in SharePoint Online along with being able to leverage the latest version of the Microsoft technology stack - that is growing the skillsets / toolset familiarity without waiting for longer term plans…

  6. There should be a flow trigger which can run on any changes in subfolders as well.

There is a need to create a trigger that can run once any changes are performed in any of the subfolders. Without this user need to create multiple scripts which are very time consuming and difficult to maintain.

  7. Expose field property setter for AllowDeletion

Currently only the property getter for AllowDeletion is exposed in CSOM by the Field.CanBeDeleted property. I would also like to be able to set this value using CSOM in order to prevent a field to be deleted so that users don't accidentally delete fields.
This happended for us on a SharePoint list, and the data in that field was forever lost.
It's possible to achieve this functionality by manually manipulate the Field.SchemaXML to include the attribute AllowDeletion with value FALSE.

  8. SPFx Teams Personal App, hide app header that contains redundant tab

If developing complex solutions as SPFx Teams Personal Apps, the top header that contains a tab with the name of the app is useless and uses screen real estate without bringing any functionality.
Further more, if you have custom navigation in your app, it becomes cumbersome.
I would like the option to hide it and have my personal app, with my custom navigation, occupy the whole available space.

  9. Automate Daily News and Events Digest

In an education environment we need to have an automated daily news and events digest.

Would like to have included links to all News posts published in the last 3 days, along with an Events list of all calendar events in the upcoming 3-7 days.

Students and Staff SHOULD NOT be able to unsubscribe.

  10. Support "object-fit" style attribute for list column formatting

The list of supported style attributes should really contain "object-fit". Right now it is not supported. It's handy for scaling images properly.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/declarative-customization/column-formatting#style

    https://caniuse.com/#search=object-fit

  11. Add a way to accept File Handler POST requests in an addin

Less complex file handlers need almost no server-side code, the only bit being the code to transfer the POST data to client-side code.
I suggest adding some way to get that information to client-side code that doesn't require writing custom server-side code - perhaps a directive that outputs it to a variable or something in the JS API.
This would allow simple file handlers to be hosted as an addin, without the need for external hosting.

  12. Properties Window in MS Word

when saving a word document into Sharepoint a properties window appears, however the window to select the data is very small and difficult to use as you can only see two Terms of References at a time. Can this box be made bigger?

  13. Set Default Column Values using a Site Script Verb (Site Design)

I am a fan of Site Designs; however, I would like to be able to set Default Column Values on lists and folders.

You could complete this action using the UI or the Set-PnPDefaultColumnValues PowerShell complete. Sadly, this is not in acceptable to the average “business user” and required administrator input.

Please add a verb called setDefaultColumnValues to SharePoint Site Scripts?

  14. make the SPFx workbench wider

When developing a web part for "supportedHosts": ["SharePointFullPage"] it will be nice to have the full width of the page while debugging in /_layouts/15/workbench.aspx too.
It is very hard to see just half the width of the final web part.

  15. SharePoint Online (SPO) Calendar REST support full recurring event details

We need full support for calendars, there is not way to get all recurring date events via REST without designing our own logic.

The RecurrenceData is nearly unusable and not sufficient.

I get MS is focusing on graph but even graph doesn’t have to use this and I don’t like the idea of using a separate API for one singular issue.

  16. Allow to display classic SharePoint-hosted add-in inside MS Flow tab

Many customers want to display SharePoint-hosted add-ins (located in the App Web) inside MS Teams tab, but it's not possible. It's very weird when you can attach any website like Google, but you cannot attach another product from Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem...

  17. View Existing Assigned Permissions to SP AddIns

Once permissions are applied to a Service Principal name via _layouts/15/appinv.aspx, it is not possible to see the permissions applied there after. Please build some functionality via the GUI so we can see each (XML) permission applied per Client ID and at what scope it was defined. These service principal names do not appear as 'SharePoint Apps' in the site contents page like other AddIns do, hence we can't click permissions and view them.

  18. Allow publishing of content type hub content types via Graph API

This is a re-post of another user voice with nearly 300 votes shifting to the context of the Graph API instead of CSOM (per the response from Microsoft rejecting the first proposal because of the context of CSOM)

    https://sharepoint.uservoice.com/forums/329220-sharepoint-dev-platform/suggestions/15147111-allow-publishing-of-content-type-hub-content-types

  19. Reduce cost for additional SharePoint storage

    Hi,

Would be great if you could consider lowering the costs for additional SharePoint storage. 0.2 $ per GB per month is one of the most expensive storage now a days in the market.

Any timeline planned or already considering to lower the costs?

    Thanks
