Add managed metadata term store operations to REST API
Currently term store operations are only available via JSOM. It would be nice to see this added to the REST API as well.
Thank you for your feedback! Just letting you know that we absolutely have this in our backlog, but unfortunately this currently is not included in our short term engineering tasks. We absolutely understand the request and seeing vote counts around this, will help to further prioritize this work for next sprints.
Happy birthday #1 requested feature : 1 year unattended ! (Created the 6 June 2016)
What's the point to set a uservoice if no one is listening ? I'd rather talk to wall and expect more results...
A good architect always finish the foundation before adding new layers : Please set your priorities right

Like Marc I have to bump again. This is a big gap in the api, what can be done to push this up the engineering list?
I need this again today to get a client project working. Argh!!!
We need this more than ever now since spfx is now on general availability and JSOM is not included by default, and it adds extra payload to the app.
Indeed. Now SharePoint Framework has been released it becomes even more important. As there are projects like PnP JS Core which are claiming it as well: https://github.com/SharePoint/PnP-JS-Core/issues/415

This right here. This is one thing that would make a lot of custom work more consistent. Would rather do everything REST, but this is lacking.
Still don't understand why this has not been taken up for implementation even in the latest release.Voted Up !
This is a HUGE gap in the REST arsenal, IMO. There's no logical reason I can think of why managed metadata needs to be orphaned. Let's vote it up!

Agreed -- most times, term stores live in other LOB systems, and tools to allow us to automate synch of these would be most helpful.
