SharePoint update overview
The existing overview website for available updates does not display enough information about the updates:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt715807(v=office.16).aspxIt would be very helpful to know which of the updates are cumulative and which of them are public updates.
In the blog of Stefan Goßner (which is the best overview ever!!!) it is also not always clear for us:
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/stefan_gossner/Please setup one central overview with all necessary information!

make the access request e-mail the same as in the Sharepoint 2010
If I get a request access e-mail I can only accept or decline, I do not have the option to add the user to a certain group, or give them Read Only access. SP recommends to add users to a group for easier administration, why is this option being taken away, when I want to grant access through the e-mail access request???

Sort it
On the Sharepoint admin page, it sure would be nice if I could sort the list by any of the table headers. Also, infinite scroll would be very helpful.

Return to the pre-12/2/16 Outlook format
The new Outlook format for email notifications from SharePoint as of 12/2/16 is not as efficient or user-friendly as the previous version. The completely white background, as opposed to the previous light blue background, make them harder to read. The text now goes off the page rather than wrapping for field edits, which causes the reader to have scroll in order to see the new text. The links to the sites are now at the bottom of the message rather than at the top and the link to the actual SharePoint List item is large and clunky and not clearly…

Need to enable anonymous access but restrict who can access it by IP address or some other means.
Our current on-premise SharePoint has anonymous access which allows customers not in our AD to access it without logging in. We need this type of setup for SharePoint Online so that we can restrict anonymous access to customers not in our tenant and on our network only.

Add an option to download all prerequisite installers
For example prerequisiteinstaller.exe /download C:\folder would download all installers to C:\folder without running them, so that they can be moved over to an offline server.

Add filters to columns in SharePoint 2013
I have a people directory in SharePoint 2013. The data is being pulled from the People Search into a web part in the Contacts app. It would be nice if we could create drop down filters on each of the columns (i.e. Name, Email, Job Title, Location, Office) and be able to pull data specific to that filter selection.

Items in lists and libraries limits
When a list, library, or folder contains more than 100,000 items, you can't break permissions inheritance on the list, library, or folder. Nor can you re-inherit permissions on it. This limits must increased to 500.000+ or limitless. We were not facing issue on AWS but after migrating here we are facing this issue and not able to set permission on a folder. Now rethinking on our migration plan.

Make (multiple) Publish possible for Library items which are shown in search
If you search for items then the result can not longer be Published. Or you have to use classic or you have to scroll through the whole library!

Albanian language in SharePoint “Shqip Kosovë”
Dear Sir/Madame,
I am writing on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science, of the Republic of Kosovo, regarding the localisation of Office 365 and apps in Albanian language.
Some of the apps in Office 365, such as Outlook, Teams are already translated and available in Albanian language, but our request is for SharePoint to be localised in Albanian language.
FYI: the region of South East Europe including countries: Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia have around 7 million citizens whose mother tongue is Albanian.
Thanks in advance for your support!

Request Access Notifications - provide more details within email body
We have most of the SharePoint access requests all going to a centralized email - but when we get one, it only has the name we have on our root site and no other information on where the site is from/located - and we often have to go search it out.
Providing additional site location information within the text of the email would help out tremendously.

One less click, keeps us a little lean.
Hi MS Team,
Is there any change that you could adjust the SharePoint file settings to show the newest documents first by default?
Currently one clicks the ‘Modified’ tab and click ‘Newer to old’ in order to find the latest document.
See screen shot:One less click, keeps us a little leaner.
Many thanks,
Darina

Version history upgrade. バージョン履歴のアップグレード
As a ransomware countermeasure, when uploading to SharePoint or One Drive, it is necessary to create two versions by default.
As a result, even if the file just uploaded is encrypted by the ransomware, it can be recovered from the version history.
I am always grateful for your help.
I hope it will be a great feature.
1 vote -
