  1. Power Query Data Refresh

An out-of-the box way to have Power Query refreshing automatically under Excel services or OWA on SharePoint server. This functionality should not be limited for Office365 PowerBI. Thanks!

  2. throttl

The SharePoint Online Management PowerShell commandlets are not throttle (throttling) aware. Microsoft recommends handling throttling via the following article. https://github.com/SharePoint/PnP/tree/dev/Samples/Core.Throttling Unfortunately, Microsoft's own PowerShell commandlets for SharePoint Online do not implement these recommendations. Customers are getting themselves and their scripts throttled due to the lack of this implementation (option parameter on commandlets?) and lack of notification of this potential issue. It's not realistic to direct everyone to write CSOM. Plenty of savvy administrators can write PowerShell, but not CSOM.

  4. Add PowerShell Commands from SharePoint 2013 Like Get-SPWeb

I am finding that the SharePoint Online module is limiting me in some of the actions I can take as an administrator in comparison to SP 2013. One command that is missing is Get-SPWeb. You can get the site through Get-SPOSite but there is no Get-SPOWeb. I would use this to unlock locked files on the SharePoint server and other administrative functions. Please include more commands for SharePoint in PowerShell.

  5. Add ability to manipulate all list advanced settings via PowerShell PnP

Currently, there does not appear to be a way to modify the list advanced setting "Quick property editing". I've built a PowerShell PnP script to change the setting in all lists of a certain type, but I can't find the actual property to modify in the current PnP library.

  6. Add -HostName parameter to Set-SPCentralAdministration

Set-SPCentralAdministration allows us to move CA to SSL on port 443, but it does not support hostname binding. We have a web application on port 443 that's NOT using SNI (to support HNSC, for example) and want to run CA on port 443 as well, without using different IP's. The initial configuration for this is fairly simple, setting the AAM with Set-SPAlternateUrl and adding the binding in IIS. However, running psconfigUI.exe on the CA server will wipe out the IIS binding (changing back to HTTP) and add another AAM for the HTTP binding.

    A workaround is to Remove-SPWebApplication with -DeleteIisSite…

  7. Remove ProjectPolicy

Currently there is no method to remove a site policy in powershell.

Request the addition of a 'RemoveProjectPolicy' commandlet to enable programmatic management

  8. script this

Add a "Script This" ribbon bar mode button to most places in Central Admin, Site Collection Admin, Site Admin and anywhere else when managing things. Administrators would get a popup of a PS or CSOM/JSOM script (where possible) of what would be done if you were to perform an action.

  11. The sharing functionality to easily enable externaly users access to file needs to be moved into a top level menu.

The sharing functionality to easily enable externally users access to files and set permissions needs to be moved into a top level menu. The ability to provide limited access to certain folders and functions within those folders is too hard.

You should not have to create a user and member of an outlook group to provide basic sharing features that were too braod or narrow. This was very frustrating.

Apparently the only way around this would be to change some settings in PowerShell which seemed counter intuitive to the core functionality of SharePoint.

The work around for me was to…

  12. Provide powershell functionality for all settings done in the Admin Center

We are configuring our SharePoint Online / OneDrive For Business automatically by powershell scripts. Unfortunately, you can not script all Settings, so we have to do them manually in the Admin Center. Such Settings are:
    - MySite Pre-Provisioning
    - Restrict MySite Pre-Provisioning
    - My Site Cleanup Secondary Owner
    - Script Setting that controls whether or not the ‘Copy to SharePoint’ button will appear in OneDrive
    - Ability to enable/disable IRM for OneDrive Globally
    - Ability to enable/disable IRM for individual OneDrive Sites
    - My Site Secondary Admin
    - Links to Office Applications

Automating those Settings would help us copying Settings…

  14. At some point it would be nice to show the SharePoint folders in Alphabetical order...permanently, rather than having to sort each time.

Be able to show SharePoint Folders alphabetically as the default, rather than having them show up in order they were created.

  15. Wish for bulk confirmation or output-option of user rights granted on OneDrive for Business

Currently, confirming user rights on OneDrive for Business requires to either the overview screen of rights granted to OneDrive for Business itself and the screen that shows rights granted to individual items for each individual user.
As checking the individual items again requires to open their respective screens, this can be a time-consuming and tedious process when handling a large number of users.
It would be nice if there was one condensed screen showing, or a PowerShell command or function allowing to output and bulk check, all rights that the users within a tenant a currently holding.

  16. Wish to use OneDrive for Business synchronizing client within roaming profil

I am using some roaming profiles since my users move within their facilities and they sign in with their own users' accounts from the PCs set in their destinations. Consequently, I would like to use a synchronizing client even in the roaming profiles we use because I want to operate the files on Cloud with IE browse no matter which PCs my users sign in with.

  17. Full-featured SharePoint Online Management Shell

    Full-featured SharePoint Online Management Shell
If not a full suite of Cmdlets (currently SPO's ~35 plays On-Premises 730+), can we please at least have CSOM load all attributes of an object?
    On premises I can do:

    $Web = get-spweb <a rel="nofollow noreferrer" href="https://site/web">https://site/web</a>

and get * properties with $web.AnyPropertyILike
There isn't enough room here to paste script I need to do this in SPO

  18. Add SharePoint PowerShell Module to Azure Gallery

It'd be great if you could include the latest Microsoft.Online.SharePoint.PowerShell Module in the Azure gallery so that it can easily be loaded and referenced by runbooks.

  20. Allow access to Developer Dashboard via PowerShell in SP2010 and Sp2013

Allow cmdlets or create a web service document that would allow PowerShell to gather site data based on Developer Dashboard. Admins would love to build a dashboard showing current response times to specific high-profile sites, and developer dashboard does just that. The data that DD gathers would be perfect for a scheduled task to gather and present on a dashboard site.
