Sharing options as described in documentation
SharePoint Online is fine.
I liked the announcement that it is now possible to set a default link type for sharing. However the documentation https://support.office.com/en-us/article/change-the-default-link-type-when-users-get-links-for-sharing-81b763af-f301-4226-8842-8d13bd07face?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US says something different than the actual admin UI:
documentation: "Direct - only people who already have permission"
Admin UI: "Direct - specific people"I would like the functionality as described in the documentation.

Item level permission in Sharepoint Online
Using Sharepoint Designer, we ca create the workflow which breaks the item level permission and assign new using Impersonates attribute but the problem in this is it not works every time.
Facing an issue many times that workflow is not execute in proper manner. So there any alternative for this.
I have found different alternatives as follow:
1. Azure service
2. Custom service hosted on local machine
3. Using javascript object model (called from page it self)
4. By creating custom windows service which run every hour and set the permission
5. Third party provider like NintexAll above options…

Token Timeout
Provide 2 different Token Timeouts for User and Groups. With the default TokenTimeout settings, updates to Active Directory Groups aren't reflected until 24 hours after changes are made. This is a serious risk when a user's permissions are removed from a site. By allowing different settings for Users and Groups, we could refresh just the Group Token Timeout to a more acceptable time for my company without impacting the User Token Timeout.

Permissions with 'AND' operator
Add the option to mark the group as required when adding to a permissions list.
This will allow for a logical 'AND' operation to better secure content. For example, a group for 'HIPAA CERTIFIED USERS' is added as required to a variety of lists that have medically sensitive content. Removing the user from the list removes any access to the content regardless of other permissions to the list.

Anonymous users used to access the embedded JS add-ins in Excel Online now they cannot.
Excel files can host add-ins in them. And when the users opened the Excel file on Excel Online through a Edit No-signin link, they could activate the addin. Now they cannot. Only authenticated users can see these add-ins. This change in behavior causes problems to people like us who try to embed add-ins in Excel files and share them.

SharePoint can analyze XFF tag and put the client IP in the default audit logs
Found the default audit log of SharePoint doesn’t include the original IP address of the connecting clients if the connection is passed by a NLB. Currently, SharePoint 2016 only records the IP address of NLB instead of the client original IP. But the package of the connection between SharePoint and clients contains XFF tags which allow AP server to know the client IP address. Customer wish SharePoint can analyze XFF tag and put the client IP in the default audit logs.

Make "View Group Permissions" open as a regular tab instead of a modal dialog
When viewing a SharePoint Group page and clicking "View Group Permissions" the permissions granted to that group are shown in a modal dialog, which does not allow right-clicking, nor selecting and copying text. The ability to do these things would be extremely helpful when conducting permission audits. As the contents of this dialog are in fact an ASPX page, why not expose that page to facilitate the more rapid exporting of the permissions to e.g. a spreadsheet?

Have a report that confirms when a user accessed a file (Displayed)
The idea relates to answering a question if a person had accessed a file being shared on SharePoint.
This will allow the business to audit who has viewed which file, and what time. The report will allow where security breaches occurred and solve them as well as identify individuals who can be using inside information to tip off fraudsters and criminals. By allowing a report like this to be available, one can also confirm whether users accessed information and what information they are accessing during the performance of their duties. Business Improvement can then work on how to reduce search…1 vote -
Prevent users from sharing anonymously if a DLP policy is flagged
Currently, it's an all or nothing setting for anonymous sharing. With a good DLP protocol, users would be allowed to share anonymously unless a file/folder has been flagged for DLP

Change default Security settings for creating new Team Sites
Hi We want to be able to set our own default settings for when a user generates a team site. At the moment the default is public we need to change the default to group members only, which I feel is the right approach with people haivng to change the security to increase access control.

Enforce ShowEveryoneExceptExternalUsersClaim false in peoplepicker for OneDrive again
When first released, ShowEveryoneExceptExternalUsersClaim, when set to false, prevented the "Everyone except external users" from being visible in the PeoplePicker. I have been told by support that this was backed out in OneDrive for Business. This is far from ideal. Please change it back.

limit visibility of users in the Share button ( like for example in Exchagne a
Be able to have a group of people that are not allowed to see other users when clicking the Share button.
We have customers ( law firms for example) with 2 sets of users
- Internal people ( that can see all users )
- Extranet users ( they need more than a simple external login so they have Office 365 licences but they should not be able so see the names of other Extranet users, or at least see only a certain types of users)
- when they click on the SHARE button for a document if they type…1 vote -

Remove Office 365 Group from Site
In the same way as existing sites can be "upgraded" to "Connect to new Office 365 Group", it would be great if one could go the other way around as well.
We have some sites that were initially created with Office 365 Group. But over time, we see that the functionality for this is not being used at all.
So it would be great if we could get functionality for "cleaning up" or removing the Office 365 Group for a site, or convert it to a standard Team Site (with no Office 365 Group).
