  1. Duplicate a site OR Save site as template

    Saving site as a template is only available in onpremise SharePoint. Being able to duplicate a site or save it as template is essential for SharePoint admins' productivity as it is needed to sometimes use the template of another site on a different project or to troubleshoot workflows or errors in SharePoint.

  3. OneDrive Shareable Links Password protection enforcement for admins

    At present as an admin, you can enforce features like expiry date, etc when sharing links via OneDrive. I'd like the option to enforce the password option for our users

  4. Prevent editing the files in Office Client for "Viewed only" users.

    *English follows Japanese
    ■Title(件名): Office Online および Office クライアントでの編集について

    Disable editing the files in Office Client for "Viewed only" users.
    ***************
    ■Description(内容):
    現状、"閲覧" 権限のユーザーにて、Office Online 上では編集不可でありながら、Office クライアントでは編集できてしまう。Office Online および Office クライアントで編集ができない権限を実装してほしい。

    The current feature is that users with "Viewed only" permission cannot edit the contents in Office Online. Somehow, it is allowed to edit the files in Office Client so far.

    To enhance data protection, the permissions should be synchronized with the same between Office Online and Office Client such as not editable locally too.

  5. Allow "Allow external iframes" setting to be changed tenant wide / programmatically

    With the HTML field security "Allow external iframes" setting it's possible to allow for embedding of URLs from certain domains. It would be nice if it would be possible to also add allowed URLs op tenant level, as it can be tedious to add these URLs on hundreds of site.

    Alternatively, a way of changing this property programmatically could also help!

  6. The 5000 threshold should not apply when saving a list as a template without content!

    We are unable to save a document library as a template without content and are getting the 5000 threshold error message. Although the library has 37 000 items this should be absolutely irrelevant when saving a list/library as a template! Surely the list definition (including columns, views, etc.) have nothing to do with how many items are in the list! There are similar occasions when we run into the 5000 list error when it should be irrelevant - as the 5000 limit is a hard wall your customers run into I suggest Microsoft develop a way to log errors to…

  7. Enable Selecting the permission levels more finely.

    *English follows Japanese

    ■Title(件名):SharePoint Online のアクセス許可レベルの作成について
    Enable Selecting the permission levels more finely.
    ***************
    ■Description(内容):
    現状、ライブラリ作成やアクセス権限の管理などはフルコントロールを付与する必要があるが、フルコントロールを付与することでファイルの閲覧や編集なども可能になる。ファイルの閲覧や編集は不可、かつ、ライブラリの作成や権限付与などは可能なアクセス許可レベルを作成可能にしてほしい。

    For now, it is necessary to have a full privilege within the tenant to create a Library or Manage authorization. As a concern, having this permission allows the user to view and edit files and data freely at the same time.

    Since the administrator does not want them to view or edit files, it would be great if we could select the permission levels more finely as like for Library creation and authorization only.

  8. SPO Information Management Policy does not support custom fields

    We noticed that the SPO Information Management Policy is not taking effect on the custom fields created for list. It seems that it only supports the pre-defined fields, which are not the ones that we want. We followed the steps in “Create a policy for a list, library or folder (location-based retention policy)” in https://support.office.com/en-us/article/create-and-apply-information-management-policies-eb501fe9-2ef6-4150-945a-65a6451ee9e9 and it is not showing our desired results. Please consider supporting the custom fields.

  9. Audit Logs Not Generating for a Few Actions

    We have observed that there are a few actions with respect to SharePoint Online, which when performed (either via SPO admin center or PowerShell) doesn't generate any event in Audit logs. Here is a list of such actions:
    UI
    -------------
    SharePoint Admin Center->Settings->Custom Script
    SharePoint Admin Center->Settings->Connected Services->Block SharePoint 2013 Workflows

    PowerShell
    --------------
    PS> Set-SPOTenant -DisabledWebPartIds
    PS> Set-SPOTenant -DisallowInfectedFileDownload
    PS> Set-SPOTenant -ExternalServicesEnabled
    PS> Set-SPOTenant -NoAccessRedirectUrl
    PS> Set-SPOTenant -ODBAccessRequests
    PS> Set-SPOTenant -ODBMembersCanShare
    PS> Set-SPOTenant -OfficeClientADALDisabled
    PS> Set-SPOTenant -OwnerAnonymousNotification
    PS> Set-SPOTenant -UsePersistentCookiesForExplorerView
    PS> Set-SPOTenant -UserVoiceForFeedbackEnabled
    PS> Set-SPOTenantSyncClientRestriction -DisableReportProblemDialog

    Could you please look into this and provide any inputs as we need to…

  10. Audit Events Settings on by Default

    Currently auditing settings are turned off by default on new sites. I did not know this until an event occurred that required me to look at the audit logs. To my dismay the audit events function was not enabled. This is silly. Auditing should be turned on by default.

  11. Fix SVG logo in Office 365 navigation bar

    SharePoint Online currently does not properly support to use SVG images as part of the Office 365 custom theme configuration.

    If someone has configured the Office 365 navigation bar to use an SVG logo image, it shall show up as expected at the upper left corner. It is already the case in any other Office 365 web app.

    Using an SVG image is quite important to get better quality for many complex customer logos.

    Hint:
    This bugfix idea is related to support ticket no. #15616355 where I was told I should configure my custom theme to use either black or…

  12. Allow us to show the specified results in top view in Modern UI

    I would like you to allow us to customize to show specified search results to the top in modern experience. If it becomes possible, it would be easy for users to catch the specified contents within the multiple search results. The reason why we are asking this is we cannot customize the search results based on searching key words in Modern UI.

  13. Feature for disabling download in all Non-Microsoft Office files such as PDF, jpg, etc

  16. "Search from Hub sites"

    Currently in SPOnline, by default the search scope on hub site searches across the hub and its associated sites. But within an associated comm site, the scope is set only to that site. We need an ability to set the scope of search in all/any of the associated site to its "hub" level.

    Expecting design change for below:

    1. Configurable/PowerShell option to elevate the default search scope to its "Hub" level in an associated comm site.

    2. If we were to go with "organization level" search scope in the connected sites, is there a possibility to limit the search scope…

  17. Add API to Create Tenant Wide App Catalog

    There are currently no APIs to create App Catalogs at the Tenant level, just at the Site Collection level. It would be extremely useful to be able to create tenant scopes App Catalogs.

  18. A common URL for the Admin Center, e.g. https://admin.sharepoint.com

    The SharePoint Online Admin Center is located at https://[tenant]-admin.sharepoint.com. This URL is unique for every tenant and makes documenting and communicating the URL difficult to do when you don't know the specific tenant.

    Instead, a URL such as https://admin.sharepoint.com that either loads the Admin Center or redirects to the correct Admin Center for the tenant (with the appropriate sign-in when required) would solve this problem and make accessing the admin center easy and straight forward.

  19. Access requests should relate to the specific item that the user was attempting to access, and not the entire site.

    Currently when a user requests access ("I'd like access") the Request For field holds the site address and not the address of the specific item that the user was attempting to open when they encountered the "access denied" screen. Users are generally not trying to access the entire site (they have View permissions to much of the content) but specific resources.

    As it is, admins need to message the user to work out what exactly they were trying to use. On a site where different resources are accessible to different user groups, this is really unhelpful and creates work for…
