  1. UPN rename refresh all links

When change an user principal name all related links are broken. For example all MS Teams links will be unusable. The Microsoft's answer is share files again. This is completely useless solution.

It would be useful, if an UPN change would update all related links.

  2. SharePoint storage matrix and storage usage in SharePoint admin center has different information due to the shredded storage concept

SharePoint storage matrix and storage usage in SharePoint admin center has different information due to the shredded storage concept and versioning of files.
As stated in this article of SP 2013.
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/troubleshoot/administration/total-size-shows-full-size-file-version

Request SP Product team to show the correct information as it creates confusion and gives a picture of probable data loss.

  4. Enable Member to Revoke "Direct Access" Users

Site members are able to ADD users via direct access/manage access but cannot remove/revoke the added members. This inhibits us from allowing users to manage their sites (to an extent) rather than rely on the admin for every permission change. When you have hundred of document libraries, this become very inefficient.

  5. deleting sites under retention policy

Having to go in and specify exclusions for sites in retention policy before allowing deletion is a stupid design. When you have a mess environment of sites that need cleaned up and you have to keep entering each individual site for exclusion. Whoever designed this had rocks in their head.

  6. Additional Extension needed for MS Workflow 2010

Right now, our commercial systems use a workflow built in SharePoint 2010. In October, we asked for a 6 month extension for support and functionality for this workflow as we tried to find an alternative solution. That solution ultimately became Power Automate, however, the consultants that we have been working with are not complete yet and with requirements and functionality that is missing from Power Automate, we have found it challenging in some regards to adequately accommodate the change. We are very close to fruition on this project, but with our developers being located in some areas where there are…

  7. SharePoint list export to csv

Do you think that in the future, sharepoint list can create permissions to export to csv. Sometime we have sensitive list, we do not want to export at all from some employees.

  8. I'd suggest a Tenant-Wide Setting "Allow Teamify"

Since many organization do have a way of provisoning teams, it would be great to be able to turn on/off the "Create team" prompt on a Team-Site.

  9. Different Options for Sync/Link to One Drive

I love that end users can link a document library to One Drive, however enabling that also enables allowing the end user to SYNC to one drive or their local Hard Drive. It would great if these were separate options, because our users are running into issues where they're syncing and files are getting deleted accidentally. (user power off/disconnects from network). This means we have to essentially restore everything, then the user has multiple copies of the same file, etc.

syncing to a folder even, would be preferred over the ability to sync to an entire Document Library. Every company…

  10. Enabling Document ID at tenant level for all site collections

I would like to be able to enable Document ID Services at the tenant level as a default so that all site collections will have enabled upon creation.

11. Hi Team, In Tenant wide Sharing options it would be good to define "People with existing access" for Default Sharing Type.

    For Example, the default options in Tenant Admin are;

    Anyone with the link
    Only People in your Organisation
    Specific People

Whilst another option is available in the Site Collection called
    People with existing access.

The issue we find is that the option for
    "Only People in your Organisation"
in our case also means all 25000 students. this is a problem when sharing links in the Intranet Portal as Teachers/Staff aren't aware this also means students and the other two options aren't a reasonable option to default to. Anyone with the link is unusable as is the limiting Specific People when…

12. Update Sharepoint Admin interface to reflect actual default sharing options

Setting the default sharing for the Organization and in the sharepoint admin interface to the most permissive option, "Anyone", does not setthat as the default for new Team sites. You still need to set them manually after creation.

I would prefer that we are allowed to set the default to "Anyone" as the interface indicates.

At the very least there should be some indication that the defaults do not apply to Team Sites. Wasted a support incident on this interface issue where techs directed me to one small, unclear paragraph on a doc page.

  13. Comments on list item in SharePoint Online

Currently, we can enable and disable commenting functionality on list items at the tenant level, not for a specific list or site scope.

So I think it would be great to have an option at list settings to enable or disable comments for a specific list.

Also, at the site level, we should have the same option at site settings to control the commenting functionality for all lists for a specific site, instead of the tenant level.

I have received many questions related to this request from my customers and technical communities. so I have decided to raise this idea…

  14. Allow publishing of content type hub content types via Powershell

In SharePoint Online you can create new CT in the CTHub using PowerShell fairly easily, however there does not seem to be a way to automate publishing them. Looking for CSOM or PnP solution to publish CTs from the Hub to consuming sites.

  16. Add Support Partner option from modern site admin page

The Classic Site Collections page is going away tomorrow, 12/2/20. However there is no replacement for the "Add Support Partner" option.

The article referenced below tells you to use PowerShell. However, they say to go to a site where you have already added a Support Partner, and use PowerShell to copy that to another site collection. If you need to add a Support Partner to a site collection in a tenant for the first time, there will be no option to do so. I opened a support incident with Microsoft and they confirmed this to be the case and suggested…

  17. Ability to push "follow sites" and "Add Shortcuts to OneDrive" administratively or in a single interface via teams/onedrive

This greatly inhibits our ability to deploy this solution to a large number of users..combined with the non-uniform user interaction experience between office, outlook, web, mobile and OneDrive applications, means user frustration and training difficulties. Compared with competitors like dropbox and box where they have a single interface to assign sites, sync folders and attach/share files. All we need is some administrative control and uniformity of experience.

  19. Add TEAMCHANNEL sites to active and deleted sites lists in SharePoint Admin Center

A new type of SharePoint site using template TEAMCHANNEL#0 is missing from the SharePoint admin center lists. As a global admin, I am manually adding 'Company Administrator' as an additional site administrator to all of our sites with a few exceptions so that I am able to run Powershell scripts on those sites. Since I am unable to run a Powershell statement to add 'Company Administrator' I have to do this manually. Ideally I would be able to run a Powershell script or better yet, add 'Company Administrator' via SharePoint site scripts so it can be automated!

  20. Allow SharePoint Owners to Add/Remove/Promote Teams Membership

-- Allow SharePoint Owners to Add/Remove/Promote Teams Membership --

    First:

Teams Owners (O365 Group) are granted SharePoint Owner (SharePoint Group) privilege by default through the SharePoint Owner Permission Group

Output: Team Owners have full control of Teams and SharePoint

    Second:

Users and Security Groups that are added to the SharePoint Owner Permission Group are not granted Team Ownership

Output: SharePoint Permissions grant full control of SharePoint, but not Teams

Objective: Allow SharePoint Permissions Groups to reflect Teams Permission Groups and visa versa

Reason: Long term Ownership continuity through the use of Security Groups to prevent a situation where all previously…
