  1. Option to switch off home page title banner from News articles

    News articles automatically populates the name of the sites on the news part if they're not on the Home Page. It would be great if the user had the option to switch this feature off.

  2. Manage who has access to the recycle bin

    More options to manage if and where the recycle bin is displayed and who has access to it. Separate permissions for the recycle bin. Maybe an option to hide it from the user interface

  4. Ability to place comments as a web-part in any sections on the site and the ability to moderate and keep topic current and relevant.

    It would be wonderful if we could add comments as a web part instead of simply enabling it. Then we could add it anywhere on the site we desire. Threads can get long but if the ability to set configurations so that the threads are collapsible and the site administrator/moderator can set an expiration date on threads (or not) or could simply delete them if the comments are no longer relevant to the subject matter. I guess then it would be considered a forum, which would be nice. I don't really care what we call it, so long as there…

  5. sort files in search using OneDrive online

    searching for a file online produces gazillions of useless results. If I search for a specific file, I get hundreds and hundreds. With no ability to sort, the search is basically useless.

  6. Create a way to refresh the Organization Assets templates for users

    It would be great if there was a way (powershell even) to force an update to the Organization Assets office documents that appear in end users Office products. At the moment, changes do not seem to refresh for the end user, and there is no way to tell what is happening.

  7. Links in document libraries should work as a link if clicked from a search.

    Within a SharePoint document library, it is possible to add a link to another URL, (document or web page). When this item is returned in a search result the link SHOULD open the document or page the link points to, instead it opens a blank page, (the "contents" of the link). I am not sure if this is by design or a bug, but the action should be chnaged. As an alternative, such links should not be included in search results.

    SharePoint 管理センターの "アクティブなサイト" 画面では、自身でビューを作成し、表示列を管理できるが、列の表示幅の保存が行えない。
    サイト名やユーザー名が長い場合、文字列末尾が見切れてしまい、都度列幅の調整が必要となる。
    利便性の向上の為、任意の列幅を保存できるよう、機能の拡充を希望する。

    On the SharePoint admin center “Active sites” screen, you can create views and change which columns are displayed, but you can’t save the width of columns.
    If site or usernames are long, they can be cut off, meaning you have to adjust the column widths every time to read them.
    To improve usability, please add a way to save column widths.

  9. Allow administrators to set "Site Usage" permissions

    Due to Covid-19, we have provided mental health resources for our staff on our SharePoint intranet site. There are privacy implications when all employees can see how many of their colleagues are seeking mental health assistance. We as administrators would like the flexibility to determine who can view “site usage.”

  10. Add a warning alongside the 'Edit URL' link in the SharePoint Admin Centre

    Changing a SharePoint site URL in the admin centre comes with risks. Whilst these are listed in the Microsoft Documentation (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/change-site-address#effects-of-changing-a-site-address), these are not obvious from the admin centre.

    Can I suggest that a warning is added alongside the 'Edit URL' link to advise administrators of the things to look out for.

    I was caught out by the fact that all lists that had been customised with PowerApps were no longer usable after the site URL had been changed. This could not be fixed and so we had to change the URL back again to get the forms…

  11. add "Company Links: next to company logo all communication sites

    add company links to all communication sites, currently not a solution except posting the links on the main intranet page. Users have to go back to the main intranet page to access company links.

    The setting allow files to be opened in the client app can be set at site or document library level, but I would like to force this setting at tenant wide.

  13. columns' default value based on other columns

    This is a MUST HAVE feature for us to create COMPOSED PRIMARY KEYS in a list.
    Let's say one has a list with Name and Year text columns among others and the PK must be Year + Name. One could then create a new unique value column whose default value would be the concatenation of those 2 strings.

    I see no big issue to implement this since columns' VALIDATION field always allowed to refer other list columns. What to say a mere default value field.

    Being able to have composed PKs in lists is a cornerstone to any SERIOUS use…

  14. Disable "Add Shortcut to OneDrive" for a Document Library

    "Add Shortcut to OneDrive" is a new feature in the last few months. When it was in Public Preview, there was a PowerShell command to disable that feature:

    "Set-SPOTenant -DisableAddShortcutsToOneDrive $true"

    This command was announced in MC217339 of the O365 Message center. Based on my interaction with support in Case 22963247, that PowerShell command is no longer available now that the feature is no longer in Public Preview.

    I would like the ability to disable "Add Shortcut to OneDrive" again. My environment is about 50% Windows 10 LTSB (1607), and when users "Add Shortcut", it syncs the Document Library to…

  17. make it possible to use "m365 owner" group to set permission

    When managing permissions for a modern SharePoint site you can actually use the m365 members group to add to a SharePoint permission group. But you can not add the m365 owners group.
    The strange thing is when creating a new SharePoint Team site with a m365 group the m365 owners group is set by default on the owner permissions. But when you create your own owner groups you can not use/find the m365 owner group. The m365 member group can be found and can be used.

  19. Disable return to Classic UI if the list has its forms customized using Power app

    We have a classic team site inside SharePoint online, and for a custom list we have customized its forms using power app (the new,edit and display forms), but users can click on Return to Classic UI and view the forms using the classic fUI, so all the customization we applied will be lost (as the classic UI will not have any of the customization we did inside the power app).. so if a list has its forms customized using power app then the user should no be able to use the classic forms...
