Email Enabled Document Library / List
If you enable this option on a document library / list within Sharepoint Online (Office 365) it generates a customisable email address.
When you send an email to this email address Sharepoint processes that email and creates a new item in that document library / list with the contents of the email:
- Sender email address
- Subject
- Date / time
- Content
- Attachments
This would allow you to use Sharepoint Online as a ticketing system or to log certain emails for any reason.

This should function like it does in SharePoint 2013, allowing emails to go to different folders by subject. A nice additional would be to allow each folder to have it's own email address instead of each library.

Agree with @Eric van Glabbeek. We did the same thing using a Exchange DL and flow. Trigger - when an email is received, copy attachment or body (whatever you wish) to sharepoint library /list

We created this same functionality now using Flow.

Any improvements on this topic, considering also the comment made by Eric on April 2016 ?

I do not understand. This idea was a Top idea with 156 votes (+29 votes on duplicate idea) in the previous office365.uservoice.com. And it was reviewed as "Thinking about it". While here it hardly exists with 3 votes.
Please include this in considerations.
Also, it would be improved functionality with an option of saving .msg file as .txt or .html.
