Thanks for all you do – I appreciate your always consistent follow-up. This is not a support issue, it’s a marketing and technology issue. Microsoft has got to realize that we do not live in a Microsoft world, we need to send documents in different formats. Like in all things MS will eventually fix it and get it right, at least I hope so. But in the interim this issue continues to frustrate loyal MS customers like myself. I am trying to roll out at least 200K users to MS 365 Exchange and Office 201X and then going to over 1.4MM in the next year. I would like to make sure that what we offer our clients products that work in our own environment before we recommend it. MS 365 and Office 201X are going to be our Mail platform or we would like it to be but some of these issues like lack of backward compatibility, and the proprietary nature of SharePoint are serious road blocks for me and our team. Instead of buying LinkedIn, MS should have purchased DropBox the design is elegant, easy to use and you can send and receive documents without having to be in the MS ecosystem. This is a big issue; I am trying to navigate around it.
If you can let me know how I can get rid of SharePoint and OneDrive without affecting my system, please let me know they have become basically useless to me now. DropBox acts as just another drive on the cloud for me that is easy to access, and Carbonite easily backs up my entire system in the event of an outage or crash, I can then easily restore my entire computer(s).
I look forward to your follow-up.
