Sync profile pictures across ALL of office 365
For large companies who want to upload user images for the user it does not sync across the whole office 365 platform. We uploaded user images into exchange online via powershell. Their picture shows up everywhere except sharepoint. To get to show up in sharepoint that user would have to sign in > go to their delve page > click edit profile > and then click save. We cannot rely on companies with 1000+ employees to all follow that instruction
Tired of supporting cases on this. I can't ask the user to go to a page to start an image sync. And half the times it doesn't work.

After 4 years and still requiring users to go InCognito to visit a page with their photo and or to edit their profile? You give us a PowerShell command to administratively upload photos, but no automation (or even powershell commands) to invoke the SharePoint Online photo sync process. Really? Come on, how hard can this be?
Having a similar issue, but it is not even resolved when the user goes to Delve - edit profile -save. MS Support couldn't figure it out so they sent me over to this post.

This needs to be fixed soon. Any update on any tentative fix?

Completely agree, even for smaller businesses, you can't rely on users to do this.
Have also posted similar suggestion on the o365 uservoice page, following MS support:

My client has a SharePoint On-Prem environment with a federated SharePoint Online environment. Users who have uploaded a picture on-prem are seeing their picture in Delve but not in SharePoint Online. The sync of the user profile image should be automatic and should not require every user to access Exchance Online for their profile image to sync to SharePoint Online.
Please correct the profile pictures not updating into Sharepoint. This is an I.T. Admin problem that is past due waiting for a fix. Thank you.
