The sharing functionality to easily enable externally users access to files and set permissions needs to be moved into a top level menu. The ability to provide limited access to certain folders and functions within those folders is too hard.
You should not have to create a user and member of an outlook group to provide basic sharing features that were too braod or narrow. This was very frustrating.
Apparently the only way around this would be to change some settings in PowerShell which seemed counter intuitive to the core functionality of SharePoint.
The work around for me was to use OneDrive which handled the task much more easily for both the internal and external user. However more options need to be provided in that application too.
In summary both apps do the job 50%, a little more collaboration would or user experience in the development would fix this shortfall.
