Enable User Profile Photo Sync for On-Prem Exchange Users
We should have the option to set whether SharePoint Online UPS will sync in user profile photos from Exchange Online, including for those users that still have mailboxes on-prem in a hybrid scenario. In this case, those users already have photos in Active Directory, which are sync'd to Azure AD (thumbnailPhoto attribute). Yes, I know these are low quality pictures. But low qualify pictures are better than no picture when doing people search in SharePoint. These photos are already available in Exchange Online (even when the user's mailbox is on-prem), but SharePoint Online does not pull them in.
-Having user's manage there photos in two spots is not an option.
-User's are often not allowed to update their own photos (per HR requirements) so they are managed in the HR system and sync'd to AD
-Running a script to set the user's photo with powershell does not work since it only works with mailboxes in Exchange Online
-SharePoint online should always stay in sync with what is in EXO for the profile picture. It should not require a user to browse to any page or edit their profile to trigger it
This is a feature that would benefit MANY enterprise organizations that are and will be in a hybrid state for quite some time.
