  1. Disable Create News Post from SharePoint Home Page

Add an option from SharePoint Admin's Settings to disable or hide the new "+ Create News Post" from the SharePoint Home. This is a great feature, but how about the people who are not using it or are not ready yet to use this feature at all?

There is an option to hide or disable the " + Create Site" link, but nothing for hiding or disabling the "+ Create News Post" link.

  2. Allow Site Admins to Disable "Return to Classic Sharepoint" Link

Displaying the "Return to Classic Sharepoint" and "Exit Classic Experience" links, with no option to disable these links, is a terrible idea. When a user switches from the new, modern interface to classic, it allows them to view links that they are not otherwise permitted to view, thereby overriding permissions. I don't want our users to have ability to switch between the two experiences.

  3. Increase audience compilation

As a school the ability to set rules and audiences in the admin settings is very useful. However, the current frequency for audience compilation is once a week (on Saturdays). It would be very useful to increase that frequency to twice or even three times a week. Would you consider increasing the frequency of that operation? Thank you.

  4. Email Enabled Document Library / List

If you enable this option on a document library / list within Sharepoint Online (Office 365) it generates a customisable email address.

When you send an email to this email address Sharepoint processes that email and creates a new item in that document library / list with the contents of the email:

    • Sender email address

    • Subject

    • Date / time

    • Content

    • Attachments

This would allow you to use Sharepoint Online as a ticketing system or to log certain emails for any reason.

  5. Allow Admin Specification of Properties to Synchronize from Azure AD to SPO Profile

Enable the same ability that on premise SharePoint environments have to specify what properties are synched to the SPO profile from Azure AD.
A bonus here would be the ability to add rules for synching properties. ex, If profile property x=? then synch property otherwise skip it.

  6. Disable unlicensed users from accessing SharePoint Online in general.

Currently, users can access Site collections no matter if an admin has assigned a SPO license to them or not. The access is only regulated via permissions within Site collections.

For our migration of 800 Teamsites from SP2013 to SPO, removing all permissions as the Microsoft support told us, is no feasible solution, not even a workaround.

Users should not be able to access SharePoint Online, if they don't have a SPO license.

  7. Allow a company to change the no-reply@sharepointonline.com to something similar to no-reply@<companyname>.com.

Allow a company to change the no-reply@sharepointonline.com to something similar to no-reply@<companyname>.com. This allows for a more specific whitelisting/trusting and prevent legitimate SharePoint share requests from being quarantined. Currently the only option is to create a transport rule to bypass spam filtering for all no-reply@sharepointonline.com (according to Microsoft ticket).

  8. Feature for disabling download in all Non-Microsoft Office files such as PDF, jpg, etc

When giving View Only permission from an External User, I would like to have a feature that would prevent external users from downloading files such as PDF, jpg, etc.

  9. Factory Reset for SharePoint root Site collection

Would like to have a way to restore my SharePoint online root site to a "Factory Default" clean site collection.

We have tenants where we dev/demo/play and in certain cases we would like to wipe what we did and restart from scratch.

Just deleting the root site collection causes errors.

  10. Create Site for any Domain owned

You are limited to the first domain name registered for all sites. https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Can-t-rename-team-site-on-Office-365-576325ad-8c40-4fe8-8a63-68c3b7d536cf?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US
You should be able to create a new site or migrate the domain name to a new name without having to delete your entire Exchange and SharePoint data and creating anew account

  11. Custom no-reply@sharepointonline.com email address

Is there any way of getting SharePoint to send the notifications from an email address that is unique for each customer?
I.e. instead of no-reply@sharepointonline.com which is generic, something like no-reply@<customer>.sharepointonline.com or <customer>-no-reply@sharepointonline.com or something similar.

  12. Display sites created by Teams in SPO admin center

The SharePoint sites created to support Teams should really be displayed in the SharePoint admin center since they are sites in SharePoint. Indicating they are used by a Team would be good as well to differentiate them from "normal" site collections. It's hard to keep track of the SPO footprint without being able to see the Teams sites.

  13. I want a notification function that warns me before my tenant reaches its memory limit

As it is right now, site collection admins receive a notification when the site collection is getting close to the available memory space. However, I would like to have a similar option that informs me when the memory space used for the entire tenant is reaching its limits.

  14. Allow CSP Delegated Admins to Manage Modern Sites

As a CSP, receiving delegated admin access from a customer does not allow you to access modern site collections (Communication sites, modern Team Sites).

Delegated admin allows you to access the SharePoint admin centers for both classic and modern sites. In classic, if a site collection has Company Administrator as a site collection admin, a CSP user with delegated admin has rights to the site collection.

In the new SharePoint Admin Center, Company Administrator cannot be added as a site collection admin for modern sites, nor can anyone add my account as a site collection admin because my account is…

  16. Enable CMIS in Sharepoint Online

Since OneDrive for Business on the Macintosh does not sync Sharepoint Libraries or Team Sites, I was excited to find an open source sync client called CmisSync. I installed it on my Mac, only to find it will sync with Sharepoint on premise, but not Sharepoint online. Apparently Microsoft failed to enable CMIS in Sharepoint Online. This is a request to review and reconsider this feature. Alternatively, please fix the new OneDrive (DF) client so that I can sync said libraries.

  17. Use your own domain as sharepoint site

    Hey All,

what I want and I think that a lot off you also want this is:

When I go to let me say my tenant is choco then I must go to https://choco.sharepoint.com/sites/.... to get to my sites.
It is easier to implement that when we go to let me say https://sh.choco.online/....

where the ... is every different site late personal folder and stuff like that

and when you make a teamsite you can then choose to take the following subdomein: ts.choco.online. the only thing that is needed is offcourse that the domain choco.online is the domain…

  18. Enable SharePoint Online Usage Logging

Please enable SharePoint Online usage logging on tenants or allow each tenant to disable or enable as needed.

We are unable to determine when SharePoint Online sites have last had user activity on it. This will help as part of our overall governance process and perform some necessary cleanup of unused SharePoint Online sites. Microsoft resource confirmed this solution is disabled across all tenants. A powershell command - Get-SPOSite -limit all -Detailed | select * provides inaccurate information as a backend process can run and impact the last modified date.

  19. Allow CSP admin (delegated administrator) to manage SharePoint site collections

Being MIcrosoft's Cloud Solution Provider (CSP), I have to manage users, groups and permissions of Site Collections in my customer’s tenant using PowerShell/CSOM as CSP administrator (delegated administrator).

The requirement is, I cannot use credentials of global admin and Site Collection admin to perform above mentioned tasks. The only credentials I have are of CSP Admin (delegated admin).

Although, there is an option to add support partner "Add Support Partner" (Foreign principal for "Company" in Role "TenantAdmins" (Global Microsoft Support Tenant Contract)) in SharePoitn Online admin portal . But there is no API or PowerShell commands to add support partner…

  20. User wants to add a feature that could display file numbers right after Folders on Document Library

In order to manage Document Library (how many files are in a Folder) easily, apart from the way to display "Item Child Count" Column on Document Library View, user wants to add a feature that could display the count of file numbers right after each Folder.

    SharePointのドキュメントライブラリで、フォルダ内のファイル数表示させたいが、既存の「子アイテムの数」列をビューに表示させる方法以外に、フォルダーの右側に括弧などを付けて、ファイルの数を表示させたいです。
