  1. User override for domain based blacklist

    Allow specific users the ability to have an override for a domain based blacklist if the person doing the sharing is a member of a specific AD group. This functionality should be available for both SharePoint and OneDrive for Business Sites.

  2. Give users ability to stop sharing with contribute share permissions

    We use many sharepoint Online sites for document management.

    Users either have Read or Contribute share permissions.

    ON the folders where they have contribute permissions they can share folders, but they cannot stop sharing.
    This is a major issue, why enable users to share when they aren't able to remove them.
    Would be great to enable users with Contribute share permission to remove shares they created,

  3. Enable Office 365 Tenant Sign-Up to provide selectable option for default SPO language

    When creating a new Office 365 Tenant, your SPO default language is determined typically by the language of the marketing page you signed up from - e.g. https://products.office.com/en-gb/business/compare-more-office-365-for-business-plans or https://products.office.com/de-DE/business/compare-more-office-365-for-business-plans?omkt=de-DE the latter being German and former English.

    This may mean that the default language provided for SPO is not what you intended it to be, e.g. English instead of French or German instead of English. Some organizations want to have a default language that suits their business needs.

    There is no easy way to change this to your language of choice once your tenant is created. Also, there is no…

  4. Let user decide on default language when creating Office 365 tenancy

    When new tenancy is created, all default site collections are created with the language that corresponds to the country where the company is placed. This is inconvenient and needs to be re-done in cross-country companies. I suggest to let admin decide on language for the default site collections.

  5. OneDrive Shareable Links Password protection enforcement for admins

    At present as an admin, you can enforce features like expiry date, etc when sharing links via OneDrive. I'd like the option to enforce the password option for our users

  6. Change banner message when site is under the Closed policy and Read-Only

    While using the Site Closure policy to set the site collections to Read-Only the banner message is not correct.

    While the Modern pages display the message: "SharePoint sites are read-only right now while we do some maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience." the Classic pages show "This site is read only at the site collection administrator's request."

    The later is more reflective of what we're trying to achieve.

    The procedure I'm referring to is: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/use-policies-for-site-closure-and-deletion-a8280d82-27fd-48c5-9adf-8a5431208ba5

  7. Allow Tenant admins to determine default for external sharing on site collections

    Microsoft is changing the default for site collections created via group creation or using the Create Site feature to be to allow external sharing. This will allow every site not provisioned by IT to share it's content with external people. I think it would be better to let the tenant admin set the default for sites created without IT provisioning so that companies have the option to default to allow external sharing and IT provision sites that are limited, or default to no external sharing and have IT provision sites that enable it.

  8. Improved notification of and a means to control the modern user experience roll-out for Office 365

    As pages are upgraded to the modern UI experience, such as the SharePoint landing page that rolled out recently – and more importantly the related search pages – there is currently little notification, and no way to control these pages such that they default to either the classic experience or the modern experience. The customization story doesn’t exist for these pages yet, nor are these pages feature complete from the classic experience. Not having a clear picture on when other pages are rolling out, nor having control over whether we would like to use the modern experience by default or…

  10. Create a Read-Only SharePoint Administrator role in Admin Center

    Create a Read-Only SharePoint Administrator role in Admin Center. With this option, a Servicedesk (or other departments/users) can pick up a lot of incident tickets, without changing. In this way they can learn the basics of SharePoint, before they will get the normal SharePoint Admin role, beside that the normal SharePoint Administrators, can use the rest of the time (they don't have to spend of incidents), to be innovative.

  12. Restore the original intent of the ShowEveryoneClaim tenant property

    With MC129777 Microsoft changed the functionality of "Set-SPOtenant -ShowEveryoneClaim" so that when set to False, it not only hides "Everyone" from the People Picker, but also prevents External Users from gaining access via "Everyone". Meaning, if you wish to hide "Everyone" in order to control the use of it, but also have it grant External Users access - you are out of luck. MS should add a new property, perhaps "-OmitExternalUsersFromEveryone" and restore the original intent of ShowEveryoneClaim.

  13. Please provide a feature for site collection administrators to retrieve site file access status details

    ■Title(件名):

    Please provide a feature for site collection administrators to retrieve site file access status details

    ■Description(内容):
    サイトの利用状況では、サイト内のファイルへのアクセスが指定した日時に、誰がアクセスしているのかなどの詳細情報が確認できない。また、IRM で保護されたファイルについてもアクセス数自体が反映されない。サイト コレクションを管理する上で、ファイルへのアクセス情報の詳細が必要であるため、サイト コレクションの管理者によりサイト内のファイルへのアクセス状況の詳細を取得できる機能を提供してほしい。
    Detailed information like the date and time when a site file was accessed, the user who accessed the file etc cannot be checked in "Site usage". In addition, the number of accesses for IRM protected files are not reflected as well. As details of file access information are required when managing site collections, we hope a feature can be provided for site collection administrators to retrieve site file access status details.

  14. Ability to Rename SharePoint Tenant Name/URL when no content shared or account is new

    I am unable to modify my SharePoint sub-domain or tenant name and I understand the complication with permissions with sites that have shared content; however, in a case with new users with no shared content we should be allowed to modify this sub-domain.

    Secondly, the default name for the subdomain is the users verified dns name and domain concatenated. Example, arioncorp.com (my verified dns name) is suggested to SharePoint name by default as arioncorpcom.sharepoint.com instead of arioncorp.sharepoint.com. For new users this is confusing. The arioncorp.sharepoint.com should be the default suggestion for the SharePoint URL since my dns domain was verified.

  15. About List Settings > Item-level Permissions, provide reference materials that clearly mentioned the impaction on SharePoint performance

    After granting privileges to many users, and performed the following settings on SharePoint list,
    Will such settings bring any impaction on SharePoint Online performance? User wants Microsoft to provide relevant reference materials that clearly mentioned the impaction on SharePoint performance
    List Settings > "Read access" > Read items that were created by the user ; "Create and Edit access" : Create items and edit items that were created by the user

  16. Customer wants to hide site collection parameter about ResourceQuota at SharePoint Online Management Center and SharePoint Online Management

    *English follows Japanese

    ■Title(件名):
    SharePoint Online でサーバーリソースフォータ (ResourceQuota) に関する項目を非表示にしてほしい。
    Customer wants to hide site collection parameter about ResourceQuota at SharePoint Online Management Center and SharePoint Online Management Shell.

    ■Description(内容):
    関連機能 (サンド ボックス ソリューション) が廃棄され、サーバーリソースフォータ (ResourceQuota) を意識する必要がないにもかかわらず、SharePoint 管理センターに [○○ のリソースが使用可能] と表示され、PowerShell コマンドを実行する際にも、[ResourceQuota] と [ResourceQuotaWarningLevel] の項目が表示されます。
    混乱しやすいので、サーバーリソースフォータ (ResourceQuota) に関する項目を非表示にしてほしい。

    Since the related feature, Sandbox solution is no longer supported, so there is no necessary to concern about ResourceQuota.
    But when we create or confirm site collection, with SharePoint Online Management Center or SharePoint Online Management Shell, ResourceQuota and ResourceQuotaWarningLevel parameter is displayed and necessary to specify when to create.
    Site parameter about…

  17. Teams and SharePoint sites created under the correct URL presidence.

    At present, when a Team or SharePoint site is created it is using the same URL alignment which does not make sense. For example: (user tenant/sites/site name) is what is occurring within our farm. We have access to use "sites" or "team" but when a Team site is created, the URL defaults to (user tenant/sites/site name) instead of being created with (user tenant/teams/site name) Because both Team and SharePoint are using the same URL setup, it is making support a headache because SharePoint Admins do not have access to Team sites. If teams was used in the URL for Team…

  19. Make the default group on Access RequestSettings dialog box be a choice/drop down

    Currently, if sharing is allowed, the only choice in the Access Request Settings is to add them to the default Members group:

    1. If the box is checked: add them to the [site] Members group

    2. If the box is unchecked: add them [site] Members group when the admin accepts their request.

    It would be nice if other groups or permissions were available in The Access Request Settings dialog box (like the [site] Viewers group or restricted read permission).

    Yes, the site admin can uncheck that box but then the site admin has to open each individual request and change the drop…

    By registering any desired user who has been set in advance as an administrator when creating SharePoint Online site collections and OneDrive for Business personal sites, it will be much easier to manage the administrator after the site has been created.
