  1. Provide option to not revoke permissions in folders without inheritence

Currently on a Library that has a group with permissions at the top level, when you remove that group permission from the top level, the same group is removed from all subfolders, including where inheritance is broken. I would like the option to remove the group either from all inherited folders or from all inherited folders and non-inherited folders. This option would be similar to when you are adding permissions and there is a check box "Share everything in this folder, even items with unique permissions" that pushes the new permission down through the non-inherited folders when checked.

  4. Check Permissions, membership hyperlink

When checking permissions, after you select check now, you are presented with the permissions levels. Would it be possible to make those membership groups to be hyperlinked to allow for a quick click on them to go to them, the graphic is from the web, and "knowledge members" text would be a hyperlink to the SharePoint Group itself.

  5. A feature to make private channels deletable even when retention policies are applied

    *English follows Japanese
    ■Title(件名):

A feature to make private channels deletable even when retention policies are applied

    ■Description(内容):
    現在、保持ポリシー適用時には、プライベートチャネルに接続するサイトの削除ができない動作である。保持ポリシーの対象サイトからプライベートチャネルに接続するサイトを除外しても同様の動作となる。そのため、保持ポリシーを一度無効化してからプライベートチャネルに接続するサイトを削除する運用を実施している。保持ポリシーの有効化時においても、プライベートチャネルが削除可能となる機能の拡充を要望します。
Currently, sites that are connected to private channels cannot be deleted when retention policies are applied. The behavior remains the same even when sites that are connected to private channels are removed from the target sites of the retention policies. As a result, we are disabling the retention policies first and then deleting the sites that are connected to private channels. We hope that a feature will be implemented to make private channels deletable even when retention policies are enabled.

  7. Prevent deletion of access control groups

Right now site owners can delete groups linked to Office 365 Groups which control access to a SharePoint Team site. These groups, once deleted cannot be restored or re-linked to the Office 365 Group associated with the Team site such as [GroupName] Owners and [GroupName] Members. While it would be ideal if users just didn't delete these groups, it would also be nice to be able to prevent unrecoverable mistakes (or make it so it is recoverable). You can manually recreate a group after it's deleted but it will not be linked back to the owners or members of the…

  9. share permissions level

Sharepoint - Adding a Sharing Permissions section (like List Permissions/Site Permissions/Personal Permissions) under the Permission Level.

Especially since giving users a Read Only permission level won't allow them to use the "Anyone with the link" option when sharing a link, unless they have Contribute/Edit access.

  10. Get "full read" for a specific group or specific users on all SharePoint Online sitecollections.

It should be nice if the option is back to get "Full Read" permissions on all SharePoint Online sitecollections. At the moment there is no way to facilitate this like the SharePoint on premise webapp policy. The only way is running a script to add users to a new group "FullReader", but this way is not maintainable: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/solution-guidance/security-webapppolicies

  11. Improve virus management options in SharePoint Online

Null virus management options in Office 365 Sharepoint avoid Infrastructure teams to comply with Security regulations. I think that options to manage anti-virus behaviour per tenant will be nice: like avoiding users to download an infected file and/or notify security teams.

  12. Controlled access to SharePoint data from external access.

Currently, SharePoint or OneDrive does not have to feature to control access to SharePoint data from non-domain users. This is as per service request # 12021970. SPO/ODFB should have a feature where administrator can define read-only access to external/non-domain joined device users.

  13. Show what you ar editing permissions for on the Permission Screens

When using the backend SharePoint permission screens it should be more obvious what you are editing permissions for. It is too easy to think you are on the Document LIbrary permissions screen when in fact you are on the Site. It should say "Site - <Sitename>" or "Document Library - <Name>" like it does on the front end screens. This can cause chaos if you edit permissions at the wrong level.

  14. BlockDownloadOfAllFilesForGuests

Currently an SPO tenant object has several properties that can be set to block/allow external users AKA guests, to perform certain actions. I recently files a support ticket, which the response said that the features don't work "by design". I'd like these features/properties to actually do what they are supposed to. I am trying to allow external sharing of files for viewing purposes only, and prevent downloads.

  15. Restricting sharing to site owners

Make the 'sharing' setting (in the admin centre) for site collections to prevent non-owners sharing operate on a global level for the site collection. Do not allow this to be overwritten/reset when a sub-site with unique permissions is created.

This is very difficult to retain any control over who is sharing what with your data.

  16. IRM Enforcement for Entire Site Collection

We want externally shared sites to use IRM. IRM is currently only applied to a Document Library level. We would like the ability to force IRM to remain turned on for ALL Document Libraries within the site and sub-sites. Even new Document Libraries within the Site Collection would have IRM enforced.

  17. Consider changing default permission from Contribute to Read.

When setting library or library item (file or folder) permissions in SharePoint, under Advanced, the default permission is Contribute. Consider changing this to Read by default instead.

  18. Provide true sliding session capability with ADFS

In ADFS the Web SSO lifetime controls the absolute maximum time span a user can continue without being forced to re-enter their credentials. However, this setting in conjunction with the SAML token lifetime and LogonTokenCacheExpirationWindow in SharePoint does not provide true sliding session functionality.

It would be great if an OOTB module was provided that can force sign out if a user was idle for a specified period of time, while also periodically performing automatic redirects to and from ADFS to update a user's claims.

As it stands right now a low Web SSO lifetime, one that is shorter than…

  19. sharepoint patching - make easier and faster

to patch / update Sharepoint with all components is a pain...
    - AppFabric CU
    - Sharepoint patches and CU
    - WAC
    - WFM

It would be great to have some kind of automatization... And Sharepoint CU installation tooks to long. It should have build-in mechanizm to stop timer services and search to speedup the process.

We would like to be able to confirm the scope of the effect of deleting a “mail enabled security group”, and so we would like a way to check where that “mail enabled security group” is being used, and view all the points where it is in use as a list.
