Backup and Restore of Production SharePoint Online Site Collections
I am doing some business continuity planning and have a couple of questions. I know that our SharePoint Online site collections are backed up every 12 hours and that backups are kept for 14 days. If we are planning to make a change to a site collection containing forms, SharePoint Designer workflows, and Site Columns and Content Types, is there a way to use this support service to request a special site collection backup before we start? Alternatively is there a way to do an local backup of the information before we start making changes? If it is not currently…

Folder level restore/ versioning in SP
Would like to see folder level restore functionality in SP online. Currently a large gap between file level restore and using the MS site collection restore.
Seems a real drop off compared to the on prem SBS servers MS are encouraging us to replace with SP, and one of my big worries WRT cryptolocker infecting a whole site24 votes -
SharePoint Online Backup Retention Period increase
Increase backup retention period in Sharepoint Online from 14 days to a much longer period, ideally up to a year. Allow admins to request restore of single files or entire sites up to a year back.

Recycle Bin - Ability to see full Name of deleted document and associated properties
It's impossible to see the full document name of most of the deleted items that I have in the Site Collection Recycle Bin. I thought I would be able to just expand the columns to get that information - but nothing is allowed.
There are lots of documents that start with the same first part of the name - and what will identify the document that needs to be restored is in the part that isn't displayed. There seems to be no way to view the full name.
There is no way to edit the view to give more details…

Improvements to the information concerning faults and automatic recovery described in “Service health”
■Description(内容):
自動復旧で障害が改善した場合、"サービス正常性" に記載もないため、障害の状況も把握できず、対応に苦慮している。
"サービス正常性" に記載する障害の基準の明示及び自動復旧で改善した障害の情報を開示するを希望します。When a fault has been resolved by automatic recovery, it does not show in “Service health”, so we don’t know what the nature of the failure was, and therefore we don’t have a satisfactory explanation for it.
Please make it so that the failure criteria and information about failures resolved by automatic recovery are accessible in “Service health”.13 votes -
Feature Enhancement - Library Restore Feature
Now that we have the ability to restore a Library back to any point in time within the last 30 days it would be great to have the ability to select specific dates and times with which to restore. Currently if you're wanting to restore a specific bulk-change in a document library without affecting other folders that may have been edited with changes you want to keep, you have to take a backup up the data you know you want to keep, restore back to that point in time, and then restore the files you didn't want to make changes…

Please enable granular restore capabilities! Item Level, Folder Level, etc
Please enable granular restore capabilities! Item Level, Folder Level, etc
Or, at the very least, please add the ability to restore a site collection to an alternate path. The restores right now are not acceptable for a service that houses production data. Overwriting an entire site collection for specific pieces of content is very destructive!

Second Stage Recycle bin
Make it easier to get to the second stage recycle bin. Right now you have to scroll to the bottom and hope to click on the link to the second stage recycle bin before the infinite scroll feature adds more items from the first stage. Put the link on the left nav or at the top, or add a link in site collection settings.

Enable to restore the previous version of the entire list
Currently we can restore the previous version of an item on a list one by one using version history. I would like to see that option at the list level.
For example this week I had to restore 500 items ONE by ONE because of a manipulation mistale.2 votes -

For E5 customers we really need 180 days to restore deleted site collections
The current restoration process max is 93 days. For high value E5 customers, it would be nice to extend this beyond the normal setting. I can understand why its not needed for most users but if you're a major user, we should be able to add on a license to extend it (like the ULA logging now extended to 1 yr)

Backup to affordable non-Microsoft cloud (e.g. Wasabi) for offsite protection
Wasabi ( http://www.wasabi.com ) is a very low cost cloud storage that I like to recommend all my customers to use as the repository for offsite backup. Hope it can provide support for this cloud storage and other non-Microsoft cloud for disaster recovery, like what Cloudberry ( http://www.cloudberrylab.com ) and CloudBacko ( http://www.cloudbacko.com ) are offering currently.
