Set the SharePoint Administrator as "site collection admins" when creating new Modern Team sites and Communication sites.
Today t's the group associated with the team site and even Global Admin cannot access or do anything.
This is really strange having all members of the group as "site collection admins" and unlogical to not provide SharePoint Admin access to SharePoint sites as it was before. Really hard to manage for us.

  2. Change the default link type per site collection

I'd like to be able to change the default link type per site collection or even better per site, not just at the tenant level. This ability would reduce incorrect sharing in tightly restricted site collections.

  3. JPG file is changing " Modified" time automatically

After uploading a JPG file from Internet Explorer, the “Modified” time will be displayed the time which in the image’s properties for a while.
But after one day, when I confirm the file from “Open with Explorer” in the library, the “Modified” time of the JPG file is overwritten by the file’s uploaded time.
But office files and PNG files do not cause this issue.
It would be really helpful if the JPG file can also be remained to the time which in the image’s properties by “Open with Explorer” like any other types of the file.

  4. SharePoint Site Usage Report has only specific templates

The SharePoint Site usage report under O365 Admin Portal includes only two templates (Group and Team sites)

A tenant may have other types of sites like publishing, document center, etc. As this report has only two templates, the report isn't accurate and isn't helpful.
It will be great if all the SharePoint templates are included in the report.

  5. SharePoint Online People picker does not resolve people in Azure AD groups

I've found that in SPOnline, if you add Azure AD groups (I've only tested with Security Groups at this stage), to the SharePoint groups (e.g. Owners, Members, Visitors), then the people pickers inside that Site Collection, will not resolve people.

To get around this, you either have to add (and then remove) the person, as an individual, manually to any of the SP Groups, or that person has to login to the Site Collection.

This is a real pain when you're trying to set up sites before people access them and the fact that it's localized to Site Collections, means…

  7. Copy/Paste Images into Enhanced Rich Text Columns

Right now you have to upload an image to SharePoint before you can add it to an Enhanced Rich Text column. I'd love to be able to copy/paste images. For example, I have a Support Ticket list, and users try to copy/paste screen shots to help me troubleshoot. However, when I get the email, the images are stripped.

  8. Option to hide sync button for all sharepoint libraries / groups

Like with the option to hide the sync button for all onedrive business accounts. Please provide a way to hide the sync button for all Sharepoint libraries / groups. We currently 700 groups and its impossible to do this on each individual group.

  9. Allow some customization of Delve user profile page

Allow some customization of Delve user profile page. Choosing what User attributes to show, turn on/off modules, and it would be nice if there was a section where Apps could be plugged in.

  10. As a SharePoint Administrator, I want MS to fix Event ID 1309 so that this event doesn't show up in the logs.

Every time a user open a Visio diagram in the browser the following error message is logged int he event logs:

Event message: An error occurred processing a web or script resource request. The requested resource 'fMicrosoft.Office.Visio.Server,15.0.0.0,,71e9bce111e9429c|Microsoft.Office.Visio.Server.WebControls15.Images.CloseButton.png' does not exist or there was a problem loading it.

How awesome would it be if we were allowed to export a SharePoint environment's configuration into a PowerShell script allowing you to easily rebuild your environment. Let's assume I spend 2 hours configuring my SharePoint farm using the GUI, it'd be awesome if I could somehow, within Central Administration, export my environment's configuration (Web Apps, Service Apps, services Enabled, etc). I know this is a long stretch and would probably very hard to accomplish, but it'd be awesome.

  12. Easier ULS retrival for specified set of users set within CA

When SharePoint throws an error we get a correlation ID that can then be pulled from the ULS logs to provide the detailed information about the issue.

Instead of having to request this via the Farm Admins i would propose that with Central Admin there be a section that specifies which user groups can request the logs directly from the error page its self as a simple text file which can then be imported into ULS viewer on their machine or just opened in Notepad.

This would help reduce wait times on any dev work that needs to review all…

  13. Content type hub should also propagate workflows

Currently, they only way to provision a workflow to site collections is to use the exported wsp-files from SharePoint designer. This however requires custom scripting to be enabled.

For on prem you may use a farm solution but this is not applicable to SPO.

If this was handled by the content type hub there would be no dependencies on the old feature framework.

  14. SharePoint Created Databases do not follow model DB settings in MS SQL

The issue I am attempting to resolve / highlight is that the SQL DBs created by SharePoint have various settings for Statistics creation and Autogrowth is set to 1MB.

The problem is that with an autogrowth of 1MB SQL is always growing the DBs therefore impacting SharePoint performance significantly due to hammering the disk channel. My request is that SharePoint by default would use the SQL Model DB to create it's DBs. By default the SQL Model DB has the settings that SharePoint implements today except for the seemingly random settings regarding Statistics that SharePoint creates for some reason. What…

  19. Allow setting default Locale for SharePoint sites in the admin settings

Site Creation settings only allow to set the default timezone, not the locale

Non of our sites are in any locale but the UK so the region of all new sites is wrong. This leads to the users being confused by dates if this isn't updated on a site by site basis.. It also adds another step for site owners to have to adjust when creating sites

Please let us set the default Locale for all new sites.

While it is possible to use PowerShell to check the upper storage limit for the whole tenant, as well as the storage limit and currently used storage for individual site collections, it is currently not possible to check the currently used storage for the tenant as a whole.
Please make it possible to check this using a PowerShell command.
