Provide an option to block SharePoint 2013 Workflows
While we can block SharePoint 2010 workflows from either allowing new workflows or existing workflows from running via PoSh on a Web Application, we need this same functionality for SharePoint 2013 workflows.
Specifically, we need options to:
1) Prevent all 2013 workflows from running
2) Prevent the creation of new 2013 workflows
3) Prevent the modification of existing 2013 workflowsSimilar to 2010, these should be Web Application scoped options.

Modify default behavior for "send an email invitation" when inviting users
When inviting a user to a site, the "send an email invitation" is checked by default. The only way to change this is to make an unsupported change to a hive file (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions<version number>\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\aclinv.aspx).
The default of this should be accessible and configurable via code or PowerShell. Additionally, an administrator should be able to set a different default by scope (farm, web application, site collection, site).

Teams and SharePoint sites created under the correct URL presidence.
At present, when a Team or SharePoint site is created it is using the same URL alignment which does not make sense. For example: (user tenant/sites/site name) is what is occurring within our farm. We have access to use "sites" or "team" but when a Team site is created, the URL defaults to (user tenant/sites/site name) instead of being created with (user tenant/teams/site name) Because both Team and SharePoint are using the same URL setup, it is making support a headache because SharePoint Admins do not have access to Team sites. If teams was used in the URL for Team…

Credential prompt when copying / pasting plain text from SharePoint to Excel
Hi, I have a strange issue occurring on all of our SharePoint 2016 farms. A user has brought it to my attention that when he copies plain text from a SharePoint 2016 site (Highlighting the text then copying it) then pastes it into Excel 2016, a credential prompt window appears. It works in Chrome and Firefox, but not in IE11 or Edge! This does work in Microsoft Word,Publisher etc, but not in Excel.
We also have a SharePoint 2013 farm, this works without any issue. there is just something different when copying from SP2016 to Excel 2016.
I've tried pretty…

Add 'All Sites' to the Sharepoint Tile landing page (aka /_layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx)
Right now, when my users click the SharePoint Tile in O365, They are met with a page listing 'News from sites', 'Frequent Sites' and 'Suggested Site'.
Given users end up as members of multiple sites, it can get hard to keep it all organized. What would be great would be an addition to the three sections described above that will list 'All Sites' that a user has access to. That way end users can find something they use sporadically without having to remember some part of the name to do the search...

Please optimize the list width
In the modern view of the list from SharePoint sites, the width of the first column in the edit link item is not fixed and it is so inconvenience that I need to adjust it every time.
Please optimize it from the beginning, or provide a setting feature which can adjust and fix the width.10 votes -
On classic modern, by clicking on the folder’s name displayed at the top of the document library, it goes back to the top of the library.
I created some layers of folders in the library. After accessing the folders, all upper layers’ name and the current folder name are displayed on the top, but after clicking on the current folder name, it will return to the top of the library. Also, this issue only happens on a folder with Japanese characters, not on a folder with full alphabet. Since this issue cause a lot of troubles, please help to improve it.

Enable custom messages in maintenance window banner
It would be nice to see more customizability in the maintenance window banner described at https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/josrod/2013/09/30/sharepoint-2013-maintenance-window-notifications/.

Allow more embed types beyond iframes
I wanted to embed some yelp reviews onto our new Communications Sharepoint site, but the embed web part will only allow iframe embeds. The yelp embed code comes in the form of a span tag.
It would be nice if the embed feature allowed more flexibility than just iframe.10 votes -
Clone User Permissions
It would be great if there were a possibility to clone user Permissions in a Site Collection or a single Site (SPWeb). The operation should take a username of an existing user and a new user and just add the new users to all groups the existing user is member of in the site and add the same permissions to all scopes that the existing user has access to. This should be fairly simple since all permissions are stored in a single sql table.
At the moment the only way to clone a users permissions is to enumerate all webs,…

Improved notification of and a means to control the modern user experience roll-out for Office 365
As pages are upgraded to the modern UI experience, such as the SharePoint landing page that rolled out recently – and more importantly the related search pages – there is currently little notification, and no way to control these pages such that they default to either the classic experience or the modern experience. The customization story doesn’t exist for these pages yet, nor are these pages feature complete from the classic experience. Not having a clear picture on when other pages are rolling out, nor having control over whether we would like to use the modern experience by default or…

The default setting of the storage quota of Office 365 Group site should be changeable
The default setting of the storage quota of Office 365 Group site should be changeable like OneDrive for Business.
Right now, it must be 1 TB by default and we have to change everytime after creating groups.10 votes -
As a SharePoint Administrator, I want MS to fix Event ID 1357 so that the Full Search does not run infinitely.
Re-provisioning the Search Service Application is not a solution.

Person or Group columns should look inside AD security groups added to SharePoint groups
Currently when using the "Person or Group" column type, you can limit the lookup to a SharePoint Group, however if that SharePoint Group contains an AD security group, the users won't be interrogated and cannot be verified.
In order to use this functionality currently, individual users must be added and managed within a SharePoint Group, which introduces all kinds of governance and administrative problems.

When denying access, let the admin determine whether to send an email to the user
Today when a user wants access to a resource, the admin receives an email with their request. If the admin then denies the user's request, the user is sent an email from SharePoint. As an admin, I like to send my own email stating why, and maybe where to go instead. Or I may structure permissions differently than what would happen if I just clicked "Accept". So I don't want SharePoint to automatically send this email. How about a checkmark I can uncheck when I deny the permissions? Admins need this level of control to prevent a confusing user…

restore datasheet functionality
SharePoint 2013 degraded the datasheet view, purportedly to make it platform-independent; but this rendered it impossible to paste multiple rows of new data into a list as before.

Multilogon accounts
Provide support for multilogon accounts. Currently i:0#.w|domain\jdoe logging in with windows authentication is not the same as i:60.t|adfs|jdoe@domain.com. I need to be able to connect those accounts to ease out hybridisation.

Targeted Stretched Farm Support
SharePoint supports a 1ms/1Gbps response time between SharePoint and SQL Server. Not all Service Applications require this level of latency. It would be great if the PG could release specific numbers for specific Service Applications (e.g. UPA must be 1ms, Word Automation Services 100ms, and so forth) or allow for variance for latency support, e.g. 1ms - 15ms fully supported.
