SharePoint Search Results does not display OneNote Page
We’ve stored a lot of our team OneNote Notebooks on Modern Communication SharePoint site. The issue what we’re experiencing with SharePoint Search UX is that while searching for the content present within any OneNote from SharePoint, only the section name of OneNote gets displayed within the SharePoint Search results, instead of the actual OneNote page where the content resides. Thus, to get to the actual content, user needs to perform multiple searches:
1. Search for content via SharePoint search page
2. As the relevant information on content could be present across multiple Notebooks, lots of section names appear in search results, instead of the actual OneNote pages on where the content resides
3. Then, user clicks on each search result item (i.e. OneNote Section) and performs a search for the same content within that OneNote Section online.
Would be really helpful if OneNote page directly appear in SharePoint Search results, instead of just the OneNote Section name.
This can save lot of difficulty in content discovery for end users, who are consuming these OneNote Notebooks from SharePoint.
Have you got any success searching the content from the OneNote page? Is there a way to up rank the section name where the content is found?
