It would be useful to be able to control the position of the modern searchbox on enterprise templated site pages through the "Gears"> Change the Look option. Positioning options for search could be as simple as "Top/Centre" (the Comms site default), "Top/Left", "Top/Right", "Left/Top", "Header/Right", "Toolbar/Right".

All of the "Top/" options would place the search box in the current vertical position as for a Comms site but regardless of the site template used, and justify the box left/centre/right as required, respecting any other default banner elements to the left or right.

The "Left/Top" option would force the search box to always be located at the top of the left side of the page, at the top of the quicklaunch navigation pane (where it would normally be be for a teams site) regardless of whether the site is a comms or team site template.

"Header/Right" would place the searchbox in the site page header, just to the left of the "Gears" control.

"Toolbar/Right" would force the searchbox to be placed on the page toolbar, at the righthand end, just to the left of any view and filter controls, regardless of the site template used.

It would be nice to be able to add refiners as a drop down for the search box wherever it is positioned.
