How can we improve Microsoft SharePoint Apps for iOS?

Open document links in SharePoint

If a colleague sends you a SharePoint link in an email, it would be great if there is an option in Outlook which opens the link in the SharePoint App rather than the default web browser.

Any update on this? We have enabled MAM and conditional access rules to segregate business data from personal data across the Office 365 mobility suite, and as a result, users can no longer open links shared via email or across other files as the browser itself is not yet managed. The latest update to SharePoint on IOS now allows links to pages and lists to open directly within the SharePoint app, which is great, but links to files still get directed to the browser and fail due to the conditional access rules. This is now critical as our cyber team will not allow us to remove the rules for SharePoint due to the risk of data leakage (users would be able to open the file in the browser and copy/paste or save the file to their local device or other unmanaged destinations). Ideally, links to files would open in their respective Office apps directly (eg Word file opens in Word), and any other file format open in the SharrPoint/OneDrive app as they are all managed. Please provide an update ASAP. Thank you.

I cannot stress enough that this functionality should be implemented ASAP.

Our users use (contrary to my dpt. advice) iPads while on the road - they need to be able to open links to docx in our On Prem Sharepoint deployment from Outlook for iOS. As far as I am aware - there is no solution available yet, which is puzzling.

        Please prioritize.

So disappointed. Still no updates! Any workaround guys? My company is organizing mobile week and really want to feature this mobile app. Anyone who are following this thread found any workaround? please share. Thanks,

Can't believe this is still not a thing... It's 2017 SharePoint!!! Do developers at Microsoft not use these products themselves to understand how basic a functionality and terribly frustrating an experience this is.

Any updates on this? Seeing "THINKING ABOUT IT" status since August 2016. My Company is soon going to drop the idea of using this App.
Links in the email from sites viz. Groupon, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter they all open in the their apps and not in the browser. The intranet URL is already setup in the App, so it shouldn't be difficult to recognize the URL (from email) by App.

I disagree. I think it would make much more sense to open in the Office app for iOS (Word, Excel, etc.).
