SharePoint link in Outlook does not open the SharePoint app
When I open a link to a sharepoint document in outlook, then the secure browser starts instead of the sharepoint app. The secure browser does not work for us as it asks for RSA token. I need the link to open the document in the SharePoint app which is MAM controlled.
It does not do this because the link starts with mycompanyname.sharepoint.com. So it is not recognized as a sharepoint link apparently. Can you fix this to open in the SP app?75 votes -
Mobile app should use default list view
I have a list with a filtered default view. But the mobile app always shows every item. It should follow the default view as given on the site. Esp if that view is tagged as the default mobile view!

Please allow Sharepoint administrators to be able to add predefined
Please allow SharePoint administrators to add default and promoted sites to users in the SharePoint app for mobile devices.
Its very useful but at the moment it relys only on recent and followed sites.

Make List view more informative
This is along the lines of two other ideas : Filter lists and List should show more than title, already on the forum.
The list view should allow changing the view. Currently, it allows only sorting but the view is the default view set on the server.
The number of items visible are also those set by the server. Would be nice to be able to change them on the fly so as to see more or less information.
An attachment icon in the list view for those items with an attachment would be nice.
I have been using SPConnect…

Lookup column support
The app currently doesn't handle lookup columns properly. This seems like a pretty important omission for an app accessible to the public.

Provide a way to Hide Sites from the Mobile Apps
The mobile SharePoint app shows every site. We have all kinds of "helper" sites that are not for use, and many solutions that are standalone sites that do not work in the mobile environment.
An example would be multiple sites for different documents, but how users are supposed to interact with them is a different site that is using a Search Results Web Part. We don't want users going to those direct sites for the documents.
There are lots of scenarios like this. I would propose a site-level setting that basically says "dont display this site in the SharePoint all"

Allow making favorite links
As the number of sites increases, it would be nice to be able to star or "favorite" specific link's. These can be in a separate section when the app is opened, along with Frequent and Following. Some of the other third party apps like Share plus have this and it is very useful.

Make app for K1 plan useable
There are 2 issues, why we can not use the app for users with a K1 plan.
Sites, lists, etc. are not displayed natively in the app. Only the mobile view of the SharePoint site is displayed.
You can not follow a site. This leaves the Sites and News tab empty and the app becomes unusable for the user.

Can you please allow Offline editing capabilities to lists?
If list data can be added offline then it will be a great benefit to organizations who work in low bandwidth areas and with often disruptive internet connectivity.

Optimize for use on Chromebook
Using the Sharepoint app on a Chromebook currently has the next disadvantages:
1. The fonts and images are being displayed with a factor 150% (?) and there is no way of tuning this
2. The bar on top of the window consumes almost 1.5 cms of the screen only to show the current page title
3. Navigating between sites is much more complex than in a web browser, since there are no shortcuts to favorite sites or to sites you're following33 votes -
