  1. IOS uploads of photos and videos to OneDrive for Business

    Allow IOS users to directly upload photos and videos to OneDrive for Business. Our sales and field service team have been using DropBox for their sharing of photos and videos. We want to move them off of Dropbox and use our O365 E3 licenses for this purpose.

  2. Add a comment without editing permissions

    As a teacher, I need students to be able to post comments on shared work without being able to edit that document. Currently, the documents have to be editable for commenting and this could be problematic.

  3. Overlay task lists Capability

    It would be very useful to our company if individual subsite task lists could be exported to a common 'universal' list in the main site. We have multiple people working on multiple projects, and it is impractical to check 5+ subsites to get a disjointed view of all the tasks currently active.

  4. Support $skip OData query option in SharePoint REST API

    Add support for the $skip token in the SharePoint List REST API. This will allow pagination.

  5. Allow for team/group sites to be synced to Mac's

    The mac preview client doesn't allow for team or group sites to be synced. This is required for our users to be able to sync up selected group documents or folders.

  6. Remove 5 minute restriction on date/time picker control.

    The date & time (date and time) column renders a minute selector that only provides increments in 5 minutes. This should be configurable through the UI to be any increment from 1 to 60 (No Minute Selector).

  7. Clarify documentation on whether SharePoint Online supports more than 5,000 documents in a single library

    From our reading of the available online documentation it seems like it should be supported provided that no single view exceeds the 5,000 item "List View Threshold". (Which we comply with by using folder-based navigation.) However Microsoft Support have essentially refused to help us with two files have become inaccessible because they are in a library of 10,421 documents.

    If libraries of more then 5,000 documents are not supported in SharePoint Online, then this should be made absolutely clear in the documentation, and it should not allow more than 5,000 documents to be saved to a single library.

    (FYI, attempting…

  8. Improved office (Word) interaction

    Document Property Promotion/Demotion with Quick Parts has major limitations across site collections, especially with Document ID, Status and Version besides approver names and dates from Workflows

  9. Allow reordering of Welcome Page Columns on Document Set settings

    Whenever we add or change a column on a Content Type which inherits from Document Set, we have to manually adjust the Site Columns we want to display on the welcome page. If we want to add a column near the top of the welcome page, that means removing everything else, adding the new column, then adding all the previous columns back. This is tedious as we iterate through the information architecture.

    Ideally we should be able to drag and drop columns into the right order whenever we need to make adjustments. (The configuration UI could be improved by adding…

  10. Create a new Column Type to establish relationship from files that exists in cross sites

    Create a new type for a column that allows files to reference (files that may or may not exists outside that site collection). The column can describe a zero to many relationship. Where one file can contain many links to other files. A content type of a Request for Information Letter may reference zero or many documents. By linking files that are related it would tell the story of the primary content type from start to end.

  11. Add support for all OData v4 query functions

    Specifically I am interested in the now function, it would be very useful for creating URLs that go off the modified / created / expiring type date fields. It is not always simple to update or generate a URL with the current date encoded, plus that is arguably less expressive as to the real intent of the query.

    Here is the list from the specification: http://docs.oasis-open.org/odata/odata/v4.0/odata-v4.0-part1-protocol.html#Built-inQuery_Functions

  12. Allow drop-down columns to use views

    I know there are 3rd party tools that allow you to do this. But many companies only want to use SharePoint "out of the box". It would be really nice to this as a native feature

  13. Version history within document libraries should only store deltas and not entire copies of each file

    Document libraries by their very nature end up taking a lot of space. With version history, the more collaboration being done the more space is taken up. Make people turn down the amount of versions being stored, which kind of defeats the purpose of even having it.

  14. Have Different SharePoint 2013/2016 Certification Paths!!!

    No offense.. but your SharePoint Certification Path suck!! You need to have SharePoint certifications that will actually help someone who uses SharePoint 2013/2016 daily!!! In a large corporation the "PowerUser" or JSOM developer is not going to set up Server Farms. You need SharePoint Certs for SUPER POWER USERS, POWER USERS the do "some" programming on the front end etc... your current SharePoint Certs are a waste of time and would not do the average office worker any good. You need a cert that would show teach things like how to use HighCharts with SharePoint, how to use SP Services,…

  15. Fix the 'folder to documentset contenttype change' bug

    Changing the contenttype of a folder to a documentset is possible (and should be), only the behaviour/UI is not changed to one of a documenset, thus not giving access to document set features. There even is a custom fix on codeplex, which IMHO should not be used because it's custom code and its more like a band-aid than a fix.

    A lot of people in the ECM community will profit from this (seemingly easy fix). Things like general use, dossier management, case management and archiving all suffer from this. This bug has been in there for way too long.

  16. Provide a means to control what happens if remote event receiver cannot be reached

    Presently, if a remote event receiver service cannot be reached, SharePoint immediately continues with the original operation and we have no control over that.

    We need a way to indicate in EventReceiverDefinitionCreationInformation what should happen if our RER service cannot be reached. Perhaps something like this.

    var rer = new EventReceiverDefinitionCreationInformation
    {
    ...
    ActionIfNotContactable = { Cancel | Continue }
    }

  17. Make the Office Online service account configurable

    Currently (OO Preview), all Office Online services run as NETWORK ACCOUNT. This makes managing permissions to external resources used by Excel Service (SSAS, databases used in workbooks with authentication options set to "None") messy when there are more OO servers in the farm. Being able to set one domain account for all of them would help. Additionally, from what I noticed, the service account is used to access documents when the "/op/generate.aspx" tool is used, so that will be messy as well.

  18. accessibility

    Add labels to the fields. This helps someone with a screen reader understand that those are labels, allowing them to be able to understand and use the fields properly. OOTB, SharePoint does not add field labels. So we have a story to apply JavaScript to add labels to the fields since we can’t edit the OOB code. The request here is to make this functionality OOTB or provide guidance on this case.

  19. Resolve issues with the Document Information Panel

    In Office 2010 & 2013 DIP Panels, BCS fields display as Read Only fields. So for a new document generated through SharePoint 2010/2013, a user is unable to complete BCS fields in the Office app as other field types. The user will then be unable to check-in the document.
    This is a major problem for adoption of BCS and is one of the major drawbacks.

    In Office 2016 Preview, Document Information Panel has been removed completely, meaning the metadata is completely hidden from the end user. Also in this version of Office 2016 BCS fields are not displayed at all.

  20. Metadata driven interactive list and libraries.

    Metadata driven interactive list and libraries. Search boxes in fields (colums) which are metadata driven to makeup list or library. All the list and library contents (fields, columns) are stored in metadata, and capable of search to make up a list or library. Wallah, you have custome list and library every single time, and it would be great if you could save as template also. I have many more ideas.
