It would be great if a "new item" button on list views changed its title based on the default content type of that list. So if a list contains content type named "Project", instead of "new task" the button would say "new project". And if a list has more than one content type, it should behave the same as the “new” button on document libraries - it says "new" by default and when we click on it, a popup menu opens with a list of all document types for that library.
