Regarding the limit on URL's path length
I am currently using a promoted link to set some pictures, but some of the pictures do not reflect on the link. The problem is that the file name is in Japanese and is encoded as such so that the link path becomes long. I checked the message on the screen implying that unless URL's length excluding protocol and server names is within 152 characters, pictures cannot be viewed. The error I've actually found shows the statement below.
The Message Statement:
"The URL,[https://<tenant name>.sharepoint.com/sites/<site name>/<library name>/<file name>] can be reflected on site only if the length of sites/<site name>/<library name>/<file name> is limited to 152 characters."
I am so anxious about my future use because I am aware that layer is getting higher and URL's length is getting longer by creating subsite and folder. I request that you should relax restriction on characters and make users utilize longer URLs. I would like you to relax restrictions not only on characters set to promoted link, but also on full file path's 260 letters' limits.
I recommend Long Path Tool, I will surely help you in this issue
