Fix breadcrumb Navigation in Central Administration
The breadcrumb navigation is broken in several places in central administration and it has been for years. It makes it a hassle administering some service applications / functions.
When navigating to the user profile service application there is no way to go "back" to the start page of the UPS. I find myself very often having to go back to the service applications overview and start the user profile service application via the regular link again. The search service application always has the menu on the left side, making it easy to switch between e.g. search schema and content sources and even CTRL+click to open in multiple tabs. Not possible with UPS.
UPS: Non existing breadcrumb.Try to get back from having edited a user profile property and switch to "start profile synchronization". Browser back button? But that would issue a POST again, I don't want to know what might happen when I issue random POSTS everywhere.
Managed Metadata Service: The breadcrumb top level is "Site Settings". I know this is because we are just on termstoremanager.aspx - but it should know that currently I'm calling it from CA - I would rarely want to go to Site Settings in CA, but would love to go back to the homepage.
Monitoring > Review job definitios > Edit timer job: How to get back to the job definition overview? Sure I can use the link on the left side, why is there no breadcrumb on top?
You see where I'm aiming at: Have a consistent breadcrumb for everything in CA.

absolutely ditto this...missing in 2010, still missing in 2013..makes administration of the service applications more painful than it needs to be.
