You should now be able to embed a list on a modern page.
For clarity - is the request here to make the Communication Site template an option for subsites within a site collection?
Thanks for your feedback! Let’s make sure I’ve understood your feedback correctly. Your user is on the home page of a site, and then uses the upper, left search box to search for a list item that exists on the site. But, doesn’t get list items in the search results?
Matt "SpE" Spewak, thank you for your feedback! I'd like to make sure I understood your feedback too. Are you saying that you'd like to be able to search from the site and scope your search to all libraries/lists on the site? If I did interpret correctly, could you give a little context on the situation when using this scope would help you?
Hey everyone. The existing publishing feature set isn't compatible with Communication Sites, but we are moving parts of it forward over time. Look for announcements in the future about key publishing components coming to Communication Sites and Modern Pages.

We are working on enabling News notifications via the SharePoint mobile app
Thanks for your feedback. We are adding more capabilities to modern pages (w.r.t. editing experience, layouts, RTE and web part catalog). You will soon see a lot of functionality rolling out this year. With that said, we would love to hear more from you around your asks/ desires that you wished modern pages would have.
Please note, we have not removed classic pages functionality from the site, so if you have parts that are not yet available, you can continue to use those side by side.
Hey guys, we just rolled out a big update to Modern Pages along with the Communication Sites release. We'd love for you to tell us what you think now and how these improvements landed. We've added:
- Multi Column sections
- Drag and drop rearrange of parts
- Title Region customization
- Focal point support in title region
- Page comments
- 20+ web parts including many with new layout options
- OOB mobile integration in SharePoint apps
- New site designs and page templates
And we're still adding more. Please keep your feedback coming. Thanks!

It's a great start. I would like to see trying he ability to change relationship (lookup) fields and also be able to use a field as a comment field for discussions on list items. We are a growing company and better functionality in this app would be extremely beneficial! ThanksAdminSharePoint Experiences Team (Admin, Microsoft SharePoint) supported this idea ·

You should already be able to show a specific chart, table or range, by configuring it in the property pane for the document web part. Are you saying when you do that it doesn't work for your Excel document?
Thanks for the feedback. We're evaluating granular policies.

@Jakub, We were auditing our plans vs requests and noticed we had this one incorrectly marked as working on it (when we weren't yet actively doing that). So wanted to set the right expectation.
Thanks for the feedback and suggestion! We considered this in earlier designs; perhaps something we should explore further.
