An error occurred while saving the comment Angus Hamilton commented
Hi
There's a similar post on the Office365 forum (https://office365.uservoice.com/forums/264636-general/suggestions/18496045-save-an-attachment-from-outlook-online-to-a-sharep) and this, along with attaching documents from SharePoint to emails, is a big issue for us.
It's been implemented for OneDrive and the newer groups, but for 'Sites' it only shows recent sites - not the ability to select a specific site.
Please let us know if this is coming...
thanks
Angus

Hi
Agreed - to my mind this is a bug, but comments on other posts have said it's not planned to be implemented?
Thanks

Either this, or supporting co-authoring in the Excel desktop version would greatly help me convince my users that Office online is a viable alternative to Google Docs. Sadly the online experience isn't rich enough yet, so they revert to the desktop app., which then causes locking issues/errors. Thanks

Hi
I'd second this, and also applies to SharePoint Online. With GDPR on the horizon, it's important if we know who is looking at specific files, (or files in a specific folder/library).
Whilst we'll always limit access to a library/folder, it doesn't stop administrators/those will access going rogue and viewing the file/cutting and pasting the the contents without actually downloading. (Sorry to sound paranoid!).
thanks
Angus
