Thanks for your feedback! Just a note to let you know that we’re building your suggestion now.

Corporate lifecycle is a real and constant pressure in business, often resulting in a need to rename the Office 365 Tenant. To that end we are working on the solution to change the SharePoint domain URL (contoso.sharepoint.com renamed to fabrikam.sharepoint.com). This capability will also then enable the renaming of an individual site collection (contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/abc to contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/xyz).

While we don’t have an estimated delivery date to share at this time, we’ll update your suggestion with details as they become available.

We are changing the status here back to “Working on it”, as we are not yet done with all that we want to do here, and as many of you have pointed this out. We apologize for prematurely changing the status to done, please keep the feedback coming.

The video on https://myignite.microsoft.com/videos/53861 (focusing on large lists at 42 minutes and 25 seconds) describes some of the changes that we delivered back in the second half of 2017:
        - Modern UI now has a lot of support for adding indexes to large lists and libraries on the fly, reducing the number of throttling errors experienced by our users, and some new UI for browsing through items in large lists with our paging model
        - SharePoint runs predictive indexing jobs to automatically add indexes as lists get larger based on your view definitions, and updates these indexes when you add/update your views…

This limit is quite low, I already checked the dll codes and sql queries and it looks like not too complicated to fix, please let me know I will tell you how it can be fixed.

        Hi Admin,

From your answer, it looks to me that you don't really know the limitations of the 5000 item limit or you don't know meaning of word enterprise.

Lets say we have a ticketing application and there is over 10000 tickets in status closed.

How do we get last 10 closed tickets.

Can't because filter don't work even with indexes in place. Throttle !!!. (retrieve all data in list even if over 1 million and filter your 10 items)

Can we export to excel, Throttle !!!.

Add new column and index it for filtering it. Throttle !!!.

So please don't tell filters and indexes work, they don't for lots of production scenario in enterprise.

This is just start, if you have more than 5000 items forget about adding new columns that has to be filtered, there is no way.

we are in process of switching to adobe cms due to this limitations and you are still thinking about it.Take as much time as you want, then probably you don't have to do it.

Thanks for your feedback! Your idea sounds interesting, but we need more information to understand. Can you tell us more about how you would like to use this feature?

Is your primary intent to use these logs for reporting and for troubleshooting? Will collection and centralization of these logs in a DB, such as the usage DB, provide the functionality that you seek (if these logs contain data of who performed the action, what the action is, what the target of the action, and when the timestamp of the action is)? How important is having a UX, in addition to the centralized log location, on a scale from 1-5 (1 being least important, 2 being somewhat important, 3 being neutral, 4 being important, 5 being not important)?
