Thanks for the feedback. It would helpful to know the specific scenarios where users aren’t able to get to the content they need.
We’ve observed that with sites shared publicly, or sites attached to a public Office365 Group, it’s not very meaningful to see every SharePoint Site a user can access, because there could be a huge number, most of which the user isn’t interested in.
Is the focus here more like “show me all sites I’m a member of”?
There is one comment that says search isn’t working, please open a support ticket for that.

Today you can add metadata to modern pages and news. Also the news web part currently supports filtering news by metadata, as long as the source of the content is the current site.
We’re working to enable this same filtering across sites right now.

As one person mentioned already, you can paste images into the text editor on modern pages and we’ll upload the image for you.
Is this strictly asking for that capability in lists with multi line text box (MLTB)?

In modern pages, we open links within SharePoint in the same tab by default, and external links in a new tab. In the text web part, users can specify to open links in a new tab, but that isn’t the default behavior. Similarly, for navigation links, they follow the same rule (within SharePoint, same tab, external to SharePoint in a new tab). This is true of the modern web parts that support linking as well (hero, quick links, images, etc.) This is the pattern we’ve adopted for consistency.
After reviewing other areas of modern sites, like the site pages library, document libraries, lists, site contents, etc. we did find some different opening behaviors which we’ll review and resolve.
Can you help us understand if this pattern isn’t meeting your expectation, if we have some inconsistencies within modern pages we’ve missed, or if it’s the other areas of modern sites where…

We shifted our resources to delivering other great areas in the SharePoint product, and are no longer planning to bring customizability (in the near term) to the SharePoint start page.

We'd simply like for our users to be able to see a list of all the sites that they can access. Allow us to organize this list in a hierarchy too. For now, our solution is going to be, that we run a script that makes them auto-follow the sites that we give them access to, but that is a vulnerable solution.
Well, not quite. Sites that I follow as well as all of the sites that I can access should be much more easily visible and accessible from Office desktop applications, mobile apps, etc.

Thank you for everyone who has been providing feedback on this thread. There is a variety of work happening to make it easier for people to save to/from OneDrive and SharePoint. There are no specifics and ETA’s to share at this point.

Drag'n'drop would be nice. A menu to do it would be nice. Having it work from both Outlook on the desktop as well as on the web would be nice. And being able to both save attachments to a Sharepoint site as well a attach files from a Sharepoint site (and not just groups) would be nice.
Well, actually it is nigh essential to have this functionality.

We are continuing to validate this long-awaited feature in a Private Preview Program with a subset of customers. Although feedback has been very positive we have identified a few things that we still need to address before we start making this more generally available. We appreciate that this is taking time, however providing a consistent user experience across M365 that continues to function as expected is a complex problem. We will provide another update within the next few months.

Thanks for the feedback! We are working on bringing better experiences (native and responsive) to the app. Are there specific areas you would prioritize first? Mostly lists and library?

I have to agree, was thoroughly disappointed when I loaded up this app. I mean, I appreciate the fact fact that there IS an app, but boy, did I expect more.

So, I have explicitly chosen to follow some specific sites, but right now, when I go to the “Find” tab, what I am shown are: frequent sites, people(?), recent files, popular searches, etc...
I am sure Microsoft have som metrics that support this design choice, but it still baffles me, that I have to go to “more sites” and then “following” to see the sites that I am following... in the SharePoint app. It seems buried way too deep. I could perhaps understand if this was an Office 365 app, but it is not, and prioritizing showing people over sites that I follow, seems really weird to me.
