Thank you for the feedback! We are not planning on adding support recurring events at this time but we will keep it in mind in the future when we look at improving the overall event story on SharePoint.

We aren’t currently working on adding recurring events support to the Events web part. As a number of commentors have suggested, Group calendars do a great job with recurring events and are a great way to show them on your modern pages.

We’re actively thinking about how we can better support the desire for a great looking, responsive, wall calendar view. As we solidify our thoughts, we’ll share more.

Thanks for asking for this capability. This isn’t in our current plans. We suggest using the Group Calendar functionality for great Microsoft Exchange backed features like recurring events.

Even aliasing would be a plus at this point (keep the old subdomain to preserve backups, but have the new one redirect). Not an ideal solution for many, MANY reasons, but better than nothing.

Thank you for bringing this suggestion to our attention. While the SharePoint migration investments have been focused on helping the on-prem customer transition to OneDrive and SharePoint in Office 365 using the SharePoint migration tool, we acknowledge that there are additional scenarios like the ones explained in this suggestion that are not covered yet. We are currently considering various options to solve those scenarios, but we cannot commit to anything at this point. Please continue bringing great suggestions to our attention like this one.

Even within the same tenant would be helpful. We had several units set up as their own site collections. If we could mode these to subsites under other site collections, to get to a flat architecture without having to recreate everything, that would be amazing.

Yes. Get rid of it. We don't want just anyone creating site pages (and why are News Posts site pages, instead of items in the Announcement app/list?)

Thanks for the feedback. We don’t have any plans for column-level permissions at this time, but I’ll leave the UV item active here in case folks want to add further comments.
Since IE is EOL and End of Support, it would be great to be able to download via drag & drop in other browsers. (at the very least, in Edge, since it is a MS product).
