This is a generic problem with storing emails containing attachments in SharePoint. There is no item on the roadmap that addresses this. There are 3rd party solutions (e.g. https://www.slimapplications.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/EmailManagerAttachmentPreview-1.png) that allow viewing of the attachments directly in the browser but Microsoft should offer this capability OOTB.

This needs to be fixed. Same problem happens when viewing emails with sensitivity labels. The links to open the encrypted emails do not work. It can be fixed because there there are apps with this capability (https://www.slimapplications.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/EmailManagerOverview.png)

This is a gap in the standard offering from Microsoft. In many cases sharing links is not an option and users need to attach SharePoint documents to a new email. There are 3rd party apps addressing this functionality (e.g. https://www.slimapplications.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/EmailManagerMailItemSPFx.png).

Microsoft will no longer support Office 365 access by IE11 as of Aug 2021. You can continue to use File Explorer functionality in a browser using Explorer https://www.slimapplications.com/product/explorer/
This works in Edge, Chrome, Safari, ...
