We aren’t currently working on adding recurring events support to the Events web part. As a number of commentors have suggested, Group calendars do a great job with recurring events and are a great way to show them on your modern pages.

Something I did not mention above is that if you sync the library locally (using the new OneDrive Sync client) and add files locally, that the files will be "Checked Out". This creates yet another level of confusion.

That said... I would rather have the option to use 1 content type and enable some (or all) of the office types like I requested here: https://sharepoint.uservoice.com/forums/329214-sites-and-collaboration/suggestions/18894700-allow-content-types-to-contain-multiple-templates

I was able to add a OneNote Template by doing the following.
Create a Content Type called "Example OneNote Document" (inheriting Document).
I opened the OneNote Application on my PC and went to "File > New > This PC > Create in different Folder > gave it a name like 'template.one'".
From the Content Type I went to Advanced Settings > Upload New Document Template > Browse to the .ONE you created and upload.
When I add that to a library it will create a new OneNote using the New button.

The defaulting of values request here is a great bonus.
I simply want there to be metadata on site objects in general. There is technically the Title and Description now, just roll that into a Content Type and apply it to all sites. Then allow Owners to inherit from the "Site" content Type and create child CTs like "Project Site", with additional site columns. Then we could switch to that Content Type and really improve the ability to search for "site types".
Similarly it would be great to have Metadata on List and libraries... The objects themselves, not the items in them.Mike Hatheway supported this idea ·
Hi Tibel, I tried this today and was initially amazed on how well it worked. It does break down if you ever update the Content Type. Every list this inherits from the content type will get updated with the Document Template from the Content Type and this removes all the MS file types from the New button. You can go in and manually set the template for each list back to the default (e.g. "Shared Documents/Forms/template.dotx") and that will add the MS types back in but it doesn't work at scale.
