We are planning to provide a path selection mechanism in the new admin center, but until then we’ll look to at least amend the PowerShell (note that you can already set the path using PnP PowerShell – specifically, the New-PnPTenantSite cmdlet).

Even better would be to be able to select / overide in in the provisioning commands or site scripts.

Any update on that suggestion? Timing this feature with the new admin ui rollout makes sense to me.

We’ve rolled out Audience targeting in navigation to 100% WW at this time, you can read more about how to configure that here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/target-navigation-news-and-files-to-specific-audiences-33d84cb6-14ed-4e53-a426-74c38ea32293

We don’t intend to support hiding hub navigation per site, however there are a few key solutions you can use (now and soon):
Audience targeting in navigation https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/target-navigation-news-and-files-to-specific-audiences-33d84cb6-14ed-4e53-a426-74c38ea32293
We’re working on delivering global navigation, you can read more about it in this blog post: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-sharepoint-blog/innovations-for-workplace-communications-and-employee-engagement/ba-p/1696149

I seems related to what was announced at SPC18. Can you update the status.

We shifted our resources to delivering other great areas in the SharePoint product, and are no longer planning to bring customizability (in the near term) to the SharePoint start page.

I would help for simple scenarios where a small image could be inline within the text.
For large image, seperate webparts makes sense.

Make it dynamic based on group membership or on profile information like stated here https://sharepoint.uservoice.com/forums/329214-sites-and-collaboration/suggestions/31115959-make-people-webpart-filterable-refineable-for-retr
Any update? We can go around this limitation by creating a «Modern Team Site (STS#3)» whereever we want and then connect to a group but this process is much slower.
By the way, this same trick allows us to set language and default language.
