We aren’t currently working on adding recurring events support to the Events web part. As a number of commentors have suggested, Group calendars do a great job with recurring events and are a great way to show them on your modern pages.

There is another topic about this: https://sharepoint.uservoice.com/forums/329214-sites-and-collaboration/suggestions/32262616-new-event-web-part-should-support-recurring-events
I have to add the birthday of my 300+ collegues again to the calendar to get them to show in the calendar web part. It's absurd I have to do this every year because making it recurring events make them not show up in the Calendar web part.

Thank you for the feedback! We are not planning on adding support recurring events at this time but we will keep it in mind in the future when we look at improving the overall event story on SharePoint.

I 100% agree. I thought I had found a workaround. First create an event (birthday) in the modern look. Then change to classic look and update the event to a recurring event. After doing that with about 40-50 birthdays, I found out the hard way that those birthday disappeared again from the modern look.
MS, please add recurring events to modern look. A lot of our employees do not have an AD account so I can not use AD for showing birthdays. Our intranet is well read because of the birthdays they can find on our current 2007 SharePoint intranet.E. Vreugdenhil supported this idea ·
Same here. I would like to select the items that I want to export to Excel. Not the whole list. We need to export the newly created item and email the document with only the item that was created.
