I would expect a higher demand for this to be working. Still waiting on a solution and any kind of reaction from Microsoft on this topic.

We’ve rolled out Audience targeting in navigation to 100% WW at this time, you can read more about how to configure that here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/target-navigation-news-and-files-to-specific-audiences-33d84cb6-14ed-4e53-a426-74c38ea32293

Discussion about this topic can also be found on this site:
https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Shipping-SPC18-into-Production/Security-Trimming-for-Hub-Site-Navigation/td-p/222811 and is in development. I do see this is now going from Q4-2019 to Q1-2020 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=34251Instead of making it a higher priority it takes even longer. Hopefully it will be finished on January 1st :)

I know Dann Holmes told me a year ago it would be available before ignite. In November I was in Haarlem and than MS told me it would be in the first quarter of 2019. We are still waiting but so far no postpone or expiration date is available. If anyone from MS could give us an update on this request, that would be nice:)

Is this ever going to happen or is Microsoft waiting till we get used to this? No, we do not get used to it and it is still a pain in the ass. Hope there will be a respond and a fix for this soon.

We’re currently working on this feature now. You’ll be able to specify when your modern page actually gets published (date/time).

publish and an expiration date should be something in there by default. Come on MS developers... @least put this on ..thinking about it. ;)
