Hi everyone, I’m happy to announce that the ability to add indexes to lists of any size is available to SharePoint Online customers as of March 2018. You can now go to “Indexed columns” in List or Library Settings page, and add indexes even if your list has more than 5,000 items. For up to 20,000 items, the indexing should be near instantaneous. For lists with more than 20,000 items, indexing will use a background process and may take some time, usually minutes, but possibly longer if there are a lot of items and if SharePoint is busy serving other requests. Similarly, you are also able to remove indexes that you no longer need.

We are continuing to work on making larger lists work better, so we will keep this item open. Please don’t hesitate to send feedback if you are running into issues while managing your large lists, and…

We are continuing to make our large list experiences better, please keep the feedback coming.

    Spring 2018 update:
    - We now support being able to manually add indexes to lists of any size (increased from lists up to 20,000 items previously).
    - Starting with the February release of the Office 365 Excel client, you will be able to export your full list instead of getting cut off part of the way through.

What we are working on now:
    - Predictive indexing will start to work for lists larger than 20,000 items so your views will automatically cause the right indexes to be added to your lists.

    In our backlog:
    - Being able to index/sort/filter by lookup column types (like person, lookup or managed metadata columns) without being throttled.
    - Making sure that our REST APIs support querying in ways that will guarantee that the call will not be throttled.

    For…

Thank you for submitting this suggestion and voting on it. We have two events/calendar solutions in modern pages today. The events web part has card based event tiles, powered by events lists. You can roll-up events from multiple sites into one page, but there isn’t currently a wall calendar view.

Alternatively you can select to leverage a group calendar, and pull all of your events (including recurring events) from Exchange. This too is a compact card based view.

While we understand a wall calendar view is desirable, we’re not working on it at this time.

I can build beautiful Communication sites but then I have to use a Classic Calendar. That is an awful experience for users of SharePoint and can't be solved with a Group Calendar.

There is a huge push for everyone to move to the Modern experience, but we can't get a modern calendar? This should be corrected asap and I'm really disappointed that no one is even working on it.

It would look just like it does now, expect it wouldn't have a big white space on the right side of the page. Or if you gave an option to remove the left nav on team sites and just have a top nav then this would be even easier.

This is very annoying. I'm using the Quick Links webpart to link to a PowerPoint file that is stored on the same site. Because the Quick Links webpart forces the "?web=1" I can't make the file open in the client like I want.

I need this too. Three columns on modern pages is nice, but I have a lot of scenarios where 4 is required.

Today an image occupies the width of the container it’s in (e.g. 1/3 column). Assuming you could make your image smaller than the column width, what level of alignment would you want? Is left, right, center sufficient, or are you wanting vertical alignment in the negative space around the image (e.g. top, middle, bottom)? What would you expect happens to the space on different break points (e.g. iPad, mobile phone, etc.) Does it go away, or is it somehow retained? Thanks.
