1: Manually set column widths are not persistent across VDI sessions, and most of my users are on VDI.
2: Individualy users should not have to set their own column widhts manually; I should be able to specify this as the site collection admin. Most of my users aren't even aware that this can be done, as the drag bar is completely invisible.
