I get that you don't want us to edit the HTML because it may break responsiveness, but some of us know what we are doing. Please bring this back!

I get that MS created the modern pages and restrict them primarily for the ability to easily deal with different screens, but there are some experienced administrators that can easily make sure this doesn't break on their sites. Maybe there should be an "advanced editing" option that allows these sort of customizations for people that know what they are doing.
Tables are just not the right way to do this. It was a decade ago before divs and such. But we are stuck with this as the only option. MS, why did you send us back in time?
