My users all prefer to use the client apps, and every library is set to default to the client apps. Yet on the homepage recent documents, the enormous usefulness is diminished by having to now open it online, then say open in app, then go back online and close the online window. There goes the whole point of a quick link in "Recent Documents".

Our company is launching a new Intranet with modern teams sites for departments. Libraries are in the navigation. Then I have to explain to everyone in the company that the random "shared with us" link that has nothing in it will randomly appear and to ignore it. That is absolutely stupid.

We are an FDA regulated and Sox compliant company. Permissions require approval and we limit sharing to prevent an unregulated spaghetti of permissions being granted by end users. So these "shared with us" links will always be blank and highlight a feature we don't use. It just makes SharePoint as a product seem messy.

Just answer me this, why would I want a useless confusing link randomly inserted into my site navigation?

Thank you for submitting this suggestion and voting on it. We have two events/calendar solutions in modern pages today. The events web part has card based event tiles, powered by events lists. You can roll-up events from multiple sites into one page, but there isn’t currently a wall calendar view.

Alternatively you can select to leverage a group calendar, and pull all of your events (including recurring events) from Exchange. This too is a compact card based view.

While we understand a wall calendar view is desirable, we’re not working on it at this time.

Needed. Why show menu items to things people shouldn't access. And then there are issues, like our external sites can't be part of a hub because it would expose external people to a list of other vendors.

We do our security at the library level, so we have sites people get links to that are basically blank.

Site owners can organize news posts for placement in news web parts today. This capability was added to meet the need of “pushing” older content to the top, or ensuring a particular news post stays in place while other news posts automatically feed into the system. This works in all layouts, and news source configurations. We’re working on scheduling posts/pages for publication right now, but it likely won’t include an “expiration” date at launch as newer content naturally pushes out older content (that isn’t placed in a specific news slot). If this doesn’t meet your needs, we’d love to better understand the scenarios that require expiration dates. Thanks
