This is something that we would like to see as well, We have a list built with rows we have our External offices fill in, the data changes per input cycle so we use views to capture the input. Because of all the columns we have to support the various views the Edit form is useless for us and staff use datasheet view to edit the default view for that cycle. The first few people love the solution as they see all the Column headers. The rest hate it as they need to scroll up, read the column, fill it in and continue to be able to update the list.

Please add Frozen Columns in DataSheet View.
