I'm so frustrated. I have tile view as default on one hubsite but can't get it to work in another. Is there a reason tile view can be set as default sometimes?

We initially didn’t enable the full width column on team sites due to the vertical navigation on the left and left justification of team site pages. How do you imagine it should work/look on those pages?

We've been using Modern script editor to attempt to modify CSS to accomplish something similar to this across pages with mixed results.
We would like to have the 100% width available on all modern theme pages and available at any level.
We see this as being handled differently based on where its applied.
If the 100% width is applied within the header of the page it goes full across with the left and right panels being nested under the header.
If its applied within the page area below the header then it is nested between the left and right panels when they are used. The reason for this is that the 1/2/3 column approach had padding and spacing that is undesirable. If the row contained columns padding is fine but if its 100% width then don't apply padding.
What I don't understand is why this works on one of my hub sites but not another. Is there something in a setting someplace that allows it to work?
